Built in 1920, this historic craftsman home is in the heart of downtown Tuscaloosa--just a 5-10 minute walk (less than ½ mile) from Bryant-Denny Stadium! A short walk from restaurants, cafés, shops, parks, and bars. Out the door to the left is Tuscaloosa’s Arts District; to the right is The Strip and UA’s campus. Enjoy tailgating on the UA quad or taking a stroll on the River Walk. Private deck and side porch, comfortable bed, and luxury cocktail bar are only just a few of the house's features! The space This character home built in 1920 features original hardwood floors and stairs, a newly renovated bathroom with 6-ft clawfoot tub, and tall ceilings. There are 2 full bathrooms, soft towels and linens, and 2 bathrobes provided. Guests will enjoy the large bedroom with an attached closed-in, second-floor porch. There is also a cocktail lounge off the dining room on the first floor, as well as a screened-in side porch off the living room. *Fully equipped kitchen has all your cooking essentials, stainless steel appliances, and a breakfast nook that opens onto a full deck with a propane grill. *Smart Roku flatscreen TV in the bedroom with ability to stream from Netflix and popular apps if you have accounts. *Complimentary coffee/tea catering to your personal preference: Keurig, French Press, or Pour-Over (beans/grinder and k-cups provided) *Tuft & Needle Queen bed with added luxury mattress topper *Just steps away from stadium and downtown life *Easy access to highway/interstate (5-minute drive to Lurleen B. Because this is our primary residence, we have closed/locked our children’s bedrooms for storage use while hosting, but guests will have exclusive private access to the house. Other things to note *The bedroom is located on the 2nd floor. *There will be a $50 charge if the key is lost or taken. *Please help us protect our 102-year-old floors by removing shoes while inside the house. *Because this is our primary residence, we cannot accommodate early check-in. You may check-in as early as 4pm and must check out by 10am. *No pets, smoking, or parties allowed. Parties will be evicted immediately with no refund. *Because the house is so close to campus and Bryant-Denny stadium and downtown Tuscaloosa’s nightlife, you may hear the sound of students holding parties in the neighborhood on game weekends. Two sets of earplugs are provided by the bed to ensure your peaceful and quiet sleep. *Guests have full access to the back deck, but please note that there is currently some construction in the backyard on a workshop we are building. No one will be there while the Airbnb is occupied, but for safety reasons, the yard/lawn itself is not yet available for guest use. Please pardon our progress.
