A lovely, private backyard on one flat acre with mature trees, one floor living, this home is a great location - truly walk to town. 1 mile walk thru neighborhoods to cafe and restaurants on Church Lane. 3 miles from Longshore Public Golf Course and Pool....3.5 miles from Compo Beach or Sherwood Island State Park. The space Our home is a 50's ranch is one floor living, hardwood floors with a great open space surrounded by glass. The home has a baby grand piano for pianists, 55 inch HD TV (dvd, blue ray). The primary suite has a private deck that overlooks a 120 foot tall 200 year old European copper beech. Attached bath is full with a large shower (not a bath tub). The two additional bedrooms share a hall bathroom which is a tub/shower. The laundry room is in a bright white space in the lower level basement. There is an additional sleep bedroom but, as it is in the basement, we do not list it as part of the 6 person allocation. 6 people stay in bedrooms on the main floor. The middle bedroom has bunk system and full bed as we host our grandkids regularly and they all sleep there. We also have a Pack n Play if you travel with a youngun'. There is a queen bed in the third bedroom. The laundry is in the basement which you access via a stairway. There is a treadmill. That said, all that exercise can happen outside! Bumper pool table, toys for younger kids, legos, and many books in the basement Board games and cards are in a cabinet in the dining room. Winter guests: our three season room becomes four season winter room with our pellet stove. It takes about 10 minutes to get going after turn on and another 10 to warm the space and throw open the doors to the dining, living and kitchen space. It is a wonderful, cozy space to watch nature or make your office. A large desk with plug in streaming tv/monitor is there. There is also a desk area in the far bedroom. Guest access As an entire house rental you have access to the entire house. The garage stores my auto when we rent the home. We do not have fast charging for EV vehicles. Additional fee applies. Westport offers fast charging at the Library (a fantastic facility) as well as Town hall. Long term rental can be requested or academic year rental. Other things to note EV charging on standard 120 only is priced separately. Please note there are many fast charge locations nearby. The library and town hall have fast charge spaces. This is a dog friendly home.
