Mirador del Humedal: farm, nature, sea
Description
If you want a country place, close to the sea, with a wetland to see birds, especially in spring; to be in a house over 100 years old, seeing the peasant life of the agricultural activities of the sector; to see the stars; to enjoy nature with family or groups, this is the place for you. The space The MIrador del Humedal is a 12-hectare plot, to which you will have full access. It has a house with 3 bedrooms, 8 beds, a gallery, a kitchen, a loggia, 2 bathrooms, a terrace, a corridor, a quincho with a grill and a dishwasher. The house is over 100 years old and has been remodeled. It is 200 square meters built. The front patio has a garden and through the back patio, you can access the quincho and the staircase that leads to the hill, where the viewpoint is and there is native forest. There is also a removable children's pool that can be assembled and there are two hammocks that can be installed as needed. If you need it, it's a matter of asking. This is a space for excursions and from the viewpoint you can do bird watching in the wetland, observe the stars, do yoga, meditation sessions, observe nature. This is a sector of the 4-hectare plot that includes the house and its surroundings and the viewpoint with the native forest that surrounds it and the fraction of the hill corresponding to the property. In front of the house, on the other side of the road that goes up the slope to Bucalemu or Pichilemu, there is the parking lot, with a shed that serves as protection for vehicles with a wooden gate. The side dirt road that goes down towards the interior of the property leads to the countryside, which is a completely flat sector where you can go hiking, trekking and access the hills and local estuary. This part of the property has 8 hectares and is a flat sector that borders neighbors who have sheep, pigs, horses and domestic animals. At the moment, there are no crops in that sector, but in the future, we plan to make a greenhouse and plant some products for the consumption of the people who go to the plot and plant more native trees to protect the native forest that has almost been lost by the pine and eucalyptus plantations. It is accessed through the aforementioned side road, which is an easement that allows the neighbors access to their internal properties. The house is made of adobe, has a wood-burning fireplace, as well as a wood-burning stove and a gas stove. For the price you not only have a place to sleep, but a whole plot to enjoy and explore the countryside, just 5 km from the sea. By the way, the idea I have through the Mirador del Humedal is to give guests a farm experience, with peasant life around and access to nature. So people, if they wish, can support the actions we will take on the plot to rescue the native forest and the environment of the place. In this sense, we can barter if you support us in activities such as gardening or planting native trees, or in the future if you want to participate in planting, harvesting, greenhouse construction, etc. For example, you can bring plants or seeds of native plants and you can help plant them and with that we can make discounts. We can do cleaning activities in the wetland that is protected, but also, people throw garbage and organizing a brigade can be of great help and very entertaining for children and young people. Everything can be used to make a virtuous exchange in an area that needs environmental protection. So you can stay on the property, live a countryside experience near the sea, do trekking activities, protect the environment, explore the area, help with farming activities, and all that can be used as a barter or a reduction in the cost of accommodation on my plot. Let's talk about all the alternatives. I am open to my property being a space for rest and learning for the protection of the environment and involving people who are not from the place in these tasks to raise awareness and sensitivity. Welcome to Mirador dle Humedal with country life just 10 minutes from the sea. Guest access As I noted above, the lease is for the entire plot. Normally, I leave guests free to be with family or a group of people privately, without my presence, but if you want a guide to get to know the area, go on excursions to the hills, the wetland, get to know the peasant activities, I have no problem sharing my house and my plot with you and being the one to help you in all these aspects. This would mean that I reserve a room, which would leave the house with two rooms available and 6 beds for guest accommodation. Of course, we can talk about it and see what suits you best. In addition to what was said in the previous item, as we can exchange peasant activities for accommodation and leisure where I am present, we can talk and see a table of prices appropriate to the time you want to be. Remember that from the house, you can go to various very attractive tourist areas: Pichilemu 30 km away.Cahuil is 20 km away, Bucalemu is 5 km away (you can see the Bucalemu lagoon wetland from my house). You can visit the Cahuil salt flats (the lagoon with that name that gives rise to the salt flats and its surrounding villages) and the salt flats in the Boyeruca lagoon (with its salt village Lo Valdivia) 15 km away. You can go to LLico, 30 km away, and to Lake Vichuquén, 35 km from the house. Other things to note In short, the Mirador del Humedal is a family, quiet, private place to enjoy nature. It is a space that brings together the cultural heritage of the area and its natural heritage. It allows you to tour, go to different sectors and learn about the biodiversity of the coastal dryland. It is my home, it is the place where I live and I am willing to share it and/or give it away so that more people can enjoy life in the countryside and learn about the heritage history of the coastal dryland in exchange for monetary compensation, or in shares or in goods that serve to support the protection of the environment, the almost disappeared native forest and the biocultural heritage of the area.
