Due to this, we have developed House Rules to advise guests how to use less water, and how to take care when using the septic system. These are common sense rules that reflect the fact that we are not connected to city services such as a city water system or a city sewerage system. The rules are for the comfort and safety of guests, and also to protect the environment. Please enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings, and take care of the environment. Guest access Guests can access entire house, ( except for locked cupboards) and porch areas. No access to boat shed ( next to house) or back shed ( in backyard) Other things to note James Well township is on tank water only, so we ask our guests to respect the environment and not waste water. We have included some waterwise guidelines with our house rules, for the safety and comfort of guests . This is a “ shoes off” house - no shoes inside Please be aware that toilet and sewer is septic. DO NOT put sanitary items, nappies, wipes, harsh cleaning products, bleach or fats and oils into the toilet or drains. If using the wood burning heater please place all ashes, either hot or cold, in the metal bucket provided Access to the front porch and entrance is via 3 steps. There are two small steps with a rail inside the house between the kitchen and bathroom.
