The cozy Marshall Cottage was built in 1946 and is located in the highly desired “NoHo” district (North of the Hospital). Less than a mile from Historic Downtown, just down the street from Buffalo Park with great hiking and biking trails, one block from the hospital, ice rink and a short drive from Snowbowl. Our cozy cottage sleeps 4 guests plus 2 couch surfers (full-size futon). We have two bedrooms (1 queen bed, 1 full bed) with one full bathroom, onsite parking for 4 cars, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer and a fenced backyard. WIFI and satellite television are available. We invite you to a digital detox! Read, chat or listen to music on our collection of vinyl (fine...there is a TV if you need it). The backyard is a tranquil space where you can relax, unwind, and enjoy the outdoors. Perfect for grilling (charcoal BBQ), read, bird watch or just relax amongst the flower gardens. Flagstaff offers unlimited activities in every season! Our cottage is within walking distance or a cheap Uber ride of Historic Downtown Flagstaff. Packed with restaurants, bars, shops, galleries and family activities on Heritage Square. In FALL, view the changing leaves of Quaking Aspens, or hear the bugle of Elk as you hike numerous trails. In WINTER, retreat to for skiing or snowboarding at Arizona Snowbowl (10 min drive). Sledding at the Flagstaff Snow Park or cross-country ski at the Nordic Center. Take advantage of our seasonal events such as the Little America Christmas Tree Light display, North Pole Experience, Polar Express (short drive to Williams) or the New Year's Eve Pinecone Drop downtown Flagstaff. Ice skate at Jay Lively Ice Rink, take in the Holiday Parade of Lights (early December). In SPRING, skiing is often still possible! Use Flagstaff as your drop spot as you explore all the amazing destinations within our reach (Sedona, Grand Canyon, Page, Wupatki, Walnut Canyon, etc). During SUMMER Flagstaff is the perfect escape from the desert heat. Fish, camp, hike, mountain bike, relax or just explore! Biking (road and mountain), Rock Climbing, wide variety of dining, Grand Canyon Railway, Archaeological Sites and Ruins, Walnut Canyon, Sunset Crater, Meteor Crater, Petrified Forest and the largest contiguous Pine forest in the world. Lowell Observatory, Route 66, Arizona Historical Society Pioneer Museum, Museum of Northern Arizona. Northern Arizona University. We do have neighbors therefore, we ask that you treat our space with the same respect you would show your own. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP. If it snows, there are snow shovels available. If it's an intense storm, we will send someone to help and clear once the storm has passed. Otherwise, just like the residents of Flagstaff, you may have to move the fluffy stuff if it impacts pulling your car out. We ask you please just not romp over it. That just causes it to pack and results in an ice rink. The city plows over 3" starting with the main highways and roads and working into neighborhoods. The timeframe varies greatly. 4-wheel drive vehicles are recommended during winter weather and patience, everyone is at mercy of the plows. Feel free to reach out via booking app. Our cottage sits in the popular neighborhood of NoHo.
