New garden level in the heart of southern Ardèche

The new "Gîtes du Testal" opened in 2021 in a beautiful medieval town: Lagorce. The location is very nice because at the crossroads of the most beautiful tourist attractions, 4 rivers including the Ardèche... and yet quiet. This pretty garden level is comfortable, very well equipped, clean, bright and heated/air-conditioned. Linen rental on a budget. 1 small, clean and quiet dog is accepted. Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space! The space The 2 “Gites du Testal” recently opened in 2021. They are located in a pretty medieval town in Lagorce between Vallon Pont d 'Arc and Ruoms. The place is very pleasant because at the crossroads of the most beautiful tourist attractions... and yet quiet. The view is clear. You can take advantage of: - swimming and picnic at the edge of 4 very different rivers: the Ardèche, Labeaume, Ibie and Chassezac, - many hikes and bike rides (greenway) on Lagorce, Saint Alban Auriolles, Ruoms, Saint Remèze, Vallon Pont d 'Arc, Les Vans and the mysterious Bois de Païolive etc. - many extraordinary views of the Cevennes, - fabulous canoeing descents under the Pont d 'Arc and elsewhere, - caves and their secrets (Chauvet of course but also many others...) and the Festival d 'ALUNA. If you like to browse medieval villages with castles, enjoy local products for direct sale, the atmosphere of hostels in the country, taste incredible wines, drive on beautiful scrubland roads, festivals… or do nothing and siest at the waterfront with the cicadas, then you will love the south Ardèche! The atmosphere of the region is at the party. The calendars are varied. To start your stay, leaving the house you can already walk on a pretty dirt road through the scrubland. The cottage on the garden level can accommodate two people (1 bedroom with a double bed) and a baby. It has a beautiful semi-covered wooden deck that goes around the house (facing east and south). It is perfectly equipped with: - a full kitchen (oven, hob, microwave, range hood, fridge with freezer and dishwasher) with many utensils and quality dishes, - a living room with TV lounge and dining area (large table/countertop with 3 elevated chairs), - a bright bedroom (under the trees on the north/east side) with plenty of storage and a desk (140 x 190 bed). - new and quality furniture with neat decoration, - air conditioning/heating to welcome you with comfort in any season, - a WIFI point for your hobbies or remote work (connection sometimes disturbed in Ardèche especially during tourist peaks...), - a bright shower/WC room, - a separate entrance, - a garden and yard to shill out, play balls, have a barbecue... The floor is polished concrete. The 2 rugs can be removed for allergies. The interior of the cottage is step-free but the openings are not suitable for a wheelchair. Two screens allow you to enjoy the breezes of the night and the songs of the little duke (owl) in the oaks A duvet and a cotton piqué will be nice for the cool nights the rest of the year. Additional “guests” for the night are not allowed. No smoking except in the yard. Check-in possible from 4pm and check out until 11am. Cleaning will need to be done on your own. However, we offer the cleaning option by reservation (€60). Cleaning products are provided and respect phyto-cleaning (treatment of sewage by plants). Linen rental possible: Sheets (cotton and/or linen): €5 per person A cotton towel: €2 A microfiber towel (for rivers): €2 We lend baby equipment by reservation (folding bed + mosquito net, table seat, bathtub, changing mat, dishes and plastic pot). Basic products such as salt/pepper, shampoo, household products, microfiber cloths, coffee/tea etc... on site. Possibility to rent monthly outside school holidays with adapted rates.
