Dalai Hill & Pine Forest nearby. Quiet Hours 10PM - 9AM, No pets. The space Herne Lodge is a 200 year old colonial private estate offering a majestic view of the Himalayan range. On a clear day you may witness the mountains of Govind Pashu National Park in the North, Bander Poonchh range in the East, & the Nanda Devi range in South. The nearby Dalai Hill offers a panoramic 360 degree view of Mussoorie & it's surroundings. You may chance upon Martens, colorful Birds & the occasional Hare during the walk to the beautiful pine forest. Sip coffee at the Charlevile Book Cafe, and walk to the Company Garden. There is a caretaker on the property, and the host also resides within the estate. Cleaning staff is also available at the property. There is ample parking space and a good motorable road all the way into the estate. There is a supermarket & vegetables vendor just 50 yards from the main gate of the Herne Lodge estate. There are several restaurants & cafe's nearby. Home cooked food is available from our kitchen. A menu card is placed within each apartment. Bonfire is available on order basis, and laundry service is there. Guided walks are available into the nearby forest locations on request. These usually take place around noon. The Herne Lodge estate is located in the pristine Happy Valley area of Mussoorie. Landmarks nearby are LBSNAA, Charlevile Book Cafe, Polo Ground, Birla House, Central School for Tibetans, Tibetan Homes Foundation, Deodar Spiritual Center and The Shedup Choephelling Buddhist Temple. We are just 2.5 kms from the Mall Road (around 5 minutes drive). Taxi cabs are easily accessible. Scooty rentals are conveniently available nearby. Many locations of tourist interest are within walking distance. A public bus also plies twice a day at 9am & 2.30pm. All in all.. Herne Lodge is "Your Home Away From Home!"
