The Hawks Nest has been lovingly restored to its original glory while having all the modern-day amenities woven through its clean 380 sq. ft. space. Retreat to the spacious covered porch to relax and view the acre-and-half property leading down to 100ft of 6Mile Lake frontage. Star gaze while relaxing in the comfortable, Amish-built gilding chairs around the spacious, paver fire pit area . The space The Hawks Nest is located on a lightly wooded acre and half of private lakefront property. It is the perfect spot to decompress and enjoy the stunning, natural landscape of Northern Michigan. There are 2 kayaks, a canoe, a paddle board, and life jackets available for use. Fish or sit on the private dock and enjoy the 100 feet of private lake frontage. Echo park is less than a half mile down the road with a swimming spot and a public boat launch. You can bring a boat if you like, launch at Echo park, and tie off on the cabin's dock. There is plenty of room in the cabin's circle driveway for a vehicle and boat trailer. This is a cozy, small, 380 sq ft open floor plan cabin. The bedroom area has a comfortable queen size bed and is open into the living room area. The couch pulls out into a full-size bed (not a queen). If you choose to stay in for meals, the kitchen has everything you need for cookware and utensils or you can grill out on the porch. The kitchen has a refrigerator/freezer, microwave, four-burner glass cooktop stove, and a dishwasher. The bathroom has a stand-up tile shower and a washer and dryer. The large paver firepit area is outfitted with glider chairs and firewood. The spacious covered porch is the gem of the Hawks Nest. Located on the porch are a Dining table and chairs, propane grill, patio couch, and chairs. Inside this little cabin is everything you need to feel like you're at home. Basic condiments and spices are located in the pantry and refrigerator. A dual Keurig Coffee maker and a variety of pods are available. Located in the pantry are a toaster, magic bullet blender, airfryer, and spices. Basic cleaning supplies, dishwasher pods, washing machine pods, and fabric softener are available. There is a vacuum, broom/dustpan and wet swifer. Sunblock, bug spray, beach towels, and lighters for campfires are also located at the cabin for your convince. There is poor cellular service at the cabin, but High-speed WIFI internet is available. Turn the WIFI calling feature to ON on your cellular device and you will be able to call/text like normal(if you want to, it's nice to disconnect sometimes.) For TV, there is HULU with channels Disney+ and NetFlix. The TV is a Samsung smart TV and supports any other streaming service you might have. Deer wander through the yard frequently. Sitting on the porch you can hear the ducks, especially in the morning. A family of Loons and swans live on the lake and frequent the end of the lake where the cabin sits. It's a true outdoor experience listening to the loons call out in the evenings. The cabin is located away from town so there is zero light pollution. The night sky looks like a black blanket making star gazing a must. We welcome you and your pet. There is a $110.00 pet fee ( per pet).
