Welcome to the Cottage near the Trent River! Located only one block from the boat ramp at the Trent River in Pollocksville, NC and nearly halfway between Downtown Historic New Bern and Jacksonville, and only a 1/2 hour from Emerald Isle beaches – Cottage at the Trent is a stand-alone newly-remodeled guest house featuring a stocked kitchen, full bathroom, large loft area for sleeping plus a reading/game area. The unit sleeps 4 – 5 and the property allows for parking trailered boats or RV’s. The space Comfy and private on cul-de-sac street, this cottage offers TV and wifi. Stand-alone cottage consists of a large downstairs living room, workspace area, kitchen with full-size appliances and cooking utensils, plus full bath and full sized laundry facilities. The upstairs features a queen bed, a single daybed with additional single trundle, a full-sized futon, and a small reading and game area. An additional queen-sized air mattress can be found in the closet for use. NOTE: The loft is accessed by somewhat steep stairs. For your safety, please use the handrail at all times. We also offer on-site parking for small trailers and boats for no extra fee. Pets are welcomed but must be leashed at ALL times and vaccinated. Guest access Parking is in front of the cottage, 2 spaces in front. Door is located on the backside of the cottage. Keypad door lock for easy access. Code will be provided 24 hours prior to check in. Side drive MUST be kept clear. Other things to note We live next door in the main house, and we plan to leave you to your privacy. However, while you're here - you're family, so if you see us hanging on the deck grilling or enjoying an adult beverage, you are welcome to join us! We have 2 old farm dogs that we will keep on a run while you are here. They are friendly but may bark, please dont be afraid. Old black lab and and older black mutt. The horse's name is Taj and he belongs to the neighbor. Please dont feed him, he's on a strict diet. (Taj is kinda curvy.)
