"Les Forges", charming little cottage (2 to 4 people) in the heart of a valley and surrounded by fields and woods. The calm, nature, brightness and the region make this place the perfect place to recharge your batteries as a family. Whether on site or in the surrounding area, many walks, visits and activities will delight young and old. Shops, supermarkets but especially a large local farmers market (Saturday) 8 km away, in the pretty little town of Lavaur. 45 minutes from Toulouse airport. The space The house consists of a large living room with: * a super-equipped American kitchen (the +: electric kettle, toaster, Nespresso machine, filter coffee machine and dishwasher) * a dining room with a wood burning stove (wood provided on request) * a living room with sofa bed, armchair, TV and bookcase * 1 separate toilet The sleeping area consists of: * one bedroom (2 twin beds) with dresser * a dressing room * a large bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet (+: hairdryer) You can also enjoy a small garden and a private terrace with barbecue, table, chairs and parasols to enjoy the view of the fields and the valley. A large space (currently being finished) to share with another gîte offers: * a secure swimming pool (electric shutter + fence), heated (depending on the weather) and illuminated - max. depth 1.45 m * a ping pong table * a garden with a badminton/volleyball net Other amenities are available for free upon request: * baby equipment: baby bed, high chair * outdoor games (balls, football goal, croquet) * board games * raclette / Burgundy fondue / Swiss fondue sets * plancha / indoor grill The accommodation stays cool in summer (fan in the cottage if necessary) and the wood stove (or radiators) will keep you warm in winter. The house is intended for 4 people but is more suitable for a family with 2 children. Guest access You will have access to the entire accommodation, a small garden and a private terrace as well as the shared pool area with large garden. Other things to note Rent year-round, minimum 1 week - possibility of shorter stay on special request. The cottage is part of an Estate that consists of another cottage and a bastide but has its own independent entrance and private spaces. The Estate is located in the middle of the fields, forgive us if the network (internet and mobile) is sometimes a little lacking... This will nevertheless allow you to completely disconnect from everyday life and fully enjoy your holidays. Low-speed internet. Upon arrival, you will find in your cottage: * Beds made * Bath towels (1 large and 1 small per person) * One pool towel (fouta type) per person * One sample of shampoo and shower gel per person * A small kitchen kit (sponge, dishwashing liquid sample, 1 dishwasher tablet, 1 garbage bag) A team is always present on site (owners and/or caretakers) to ensure that your stay goes smoothly. There's plenty to do: *The house is located at the start of many walks or bike rides. *Many towns and villages not to be missed such as Carcassonne (medieval city), Albi (episcopal city), Toulouse (pink city), Gaillac (and its vineyards), Cordes-sur-Ciel (high perched village) and many others. *You will also find a large number of sports activities (golf, horseback riding, tennis, motor sports, water sports, paintball, archery, etc.) but also other more unusual ones (Les Jardins des Martels, the Via Ferrata de Malamort, Les roches du Sidobre, the Mazamet footbridge, etc.). Documentation available in the gîte and Tourist Office in Lavaur (Quai Tour des Rondes). We INSIST on respect for the environment and other guests.
