This waterfront hideaway is the ultimate cottage for those seeking a romantic getaway or for any traveller(s) looking to unwind, relax and take in the beauty of the Saanich Inlet. Our little getaway is tucked near the base of Mt. Work Regional Park and is conveniently located for a scenic walk to McKenzie Bight. Local to Victoria? We highly encourage you to take the short drive for a staycation that you will not regret! The space This renovated one-bedroom cottage is nestled on the waters edge of the Saanich Inlet. Located on a private beach, thie waterfront beauty is well equipped with everything you need for your trip, plus a few extras! The cottage offers a bright interior with large windows in both the living room and bedroom. There is a full-kitchen and BBQ, wall-mounted TV, wifi connection, washer/dryer and more! If you’d like to head out and explore…. Sidney, Victoria and the Westshore are a mere 30-minute scenic drive away. Additionally, the famous Butchart Gardens and their amazing Saturday night fireworks can be reached in 15 minutes. As the cottage is west facing, the evening sun is strong and warm (perfect for dinner on the patio or for a drink at the beach bar!). When the day is complete, relax in the private hot tub and take in the beautiful Sunset. THINGS TO NOTE: - Parking: Option 1: If you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle (MUST be 4-wheel drive), there is parking at the bottom of the driveway. Option 2: If you do not have a 4-wheel drive vehicle, you will park at one of the spots at the top of the driveway. When you park at the top you need to walk down the driveway. The driveway is not long but it is STEEP. There are stairs to the cottage and the beach. The driveway is shared with the adjacent property that acts as a seasonal airbnb as well. ******as the cottage is built on a hillside, accessibility is for those that are able bodied and navigating a short (but steep) unpaved hill as well as stairs is the only option to access the cottage or the beach.****** - We do not have kayaks or paddle boards available for guest use (as much as we would love to be allowed!).
