Lovejoy Cottage – Yorkshire Dales

Lovejoy cottage is situated in the middle of Embsay, an idyllic Yorkshire village. Surrounded by beautiful dales, crags and reservoirs it’s a walkers paradise. Peaceful and cosy, our home is suitable for anyone wanting a beautiful country getaway. Bring your furry friends along & curl up by the fire. The elm tree is an excellent pub w great food across the road. We also have a well stocked local shop/post office, a 2nd pub 5 min walk away & clean eats cafe. Bolton abbey is a short drive away. The space Lovejoy cottage is a cosy but spacious house in the Yorkshire Dales. DOWNSTAIRS: is a large living room with 2 cosy sofas and a large armchair. The remote gas fire can be lit instantly & there is a 42” smart tv with Netflix & Amazon prime tv. There is fibre broadband also. The kitchen has a large gas oven, 2 fridges with box freezers, microwave, toaster & kettle. There is a dining room with a large table & seating for 6. Off the kitchen there is a boot room/annex area which is perfect for storing your muddy boots, coats, bits and pieces and strollers/prams/wheelchairs etc. There is an alternate entrance to the house here also. UPSTAIRS: There is a double bedroom with a large upholstered bed, dressing table, hanging space and an en suite bathroom. Soak in the roll top bath with our complimentary bath bombs and bubbles. The second bedroom has a HEMNES daybed which pulls into a double suitable for two adults. All bedding is provided. There is a wardrobe, drawer unit and French windows opening onto a private terrace. There is plenty of space to sit and read, or enjoy a coffee or tea on a morning. PLEASE DO NOT SMOKE. The third bedroom is on the second floor & has 2 6ft single beds, with adult ortho mattresses. There is a beautiful view of Embsay Crag from the bedroom Velux window. 🐶 If you would like to bring more than 2 dogs, please include details in your message when booking. Please no dogs upstairs or on furniture. *IF* you have a smaller dog who loves to sit with you, please bring a throw/blanket to protect sofas for them. This helps protect our furniture and keeps it nice for the next guest. Other things to note Parking: please use the MAIN STREET CAR PARK in the village. This is just across the road and along a few yards & is clearly signposted. It is a 1 min walk from the front door. *please do NOT leave your vehicle in the pub car park* thank you. ☺️
