Our home is a freestanding house on top of a beautiful quiet hill in the Highland Park neighborhood. Built in the 1950s, this ranch style house was recently redone in an open mid-century modern style. You can look out on the large native garden from most of the rooms in the house or step outside through the large western facing wall-to-wall glass doors that give the house a true indoor outdoor feel. The California dream! Watching the sunset over the mountains every night never gets old. The space High speed fiber internet and central air 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a big bright fully stocked chef's kitchen and lots of outdoor space! We have a desk/workspace in the 2nd bedroom and other comfortable workspaces throughout the house and garden if more than one person will be working. There is a king bed in the primary bedroom, a queen in the 2nd bedroom, and a twin bed in our third bedroom (suitable for adult or child). You'll have access to the full yard and native California native garden which offers a peaceful private retreat. No matter what time of year, you can sit outside and enjoy the various blooms of plants alongside native pollinators and watch the family of hawks that call this hillside home. Nap in one of our hammocks, sip coffee in the shade of the mature macadamia nut tree, or stargaze around the fire pit. A very quiet peaceful spot yet within walking distance of the many shops and delicious restaurants of York and Figueroa Blvd. Guest access You will have access to the whole house! We do ask that the the two outdoor structures detached from the house are off limits to guests. Other things to note If you are traveling with a baby or young child, let us know if you would like to use any baby gear (pack ‘n play, toys, highchair, baby bath tub, etc) which we can leave accessible to you to make traveling smoother. We cannot host smokers and ask guest to refrain from using perfumes as we are sensitive to fragrance. Since we live on a hillside in Southern California we ask you be extremely careful to prevent fires. If you use the gas outdoor fire pit, be sure to turn it off completely.
