Cosy Lodge in the heart of Herefordshire.

Welcome to the Lodge at Meadow Hope. A private isolated guest suite 100m below our own house. Surrounded by woodland your only neighbours are our two elderly donkeys. The Lodge is completely self contained. We provide a few essentials to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible; shower gel/shampoo, a coffee machine, some milk, butter, jams, tea, etc..... There is plenty of parking; we are usually on hand if anything is needed. We welcome well behaved dogs. The space ...Is modern open plan (very spacious). Comprising of one bedroom with an on suite bathroom. The living area has 2 sofas. There are 2 smart T.V.'s one in the bedroom and one in the living room. The kitchen is full size, including:- fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Out side - Decking fills the front, with a bistro table and chairs so that you can take in the view. The lodge is fenced and dog friendly. The Lodge is very warm thanks to the modern central heating system; we do have hard wood floors, so if you’re not used to them we suggest you bring slippers. There is plenty of onsite parking, with a short walk down a loose stone path to the lodge. There are only a few outside lights on the path to the Lodge, so please bring a torch with you. Being surrounded by woodland you might hear and see some deer, we have a range of animals ourselves, who are all well behaved (we try our best to keep them quiet) Dogs are welcome, but must be on leads outside the Lodge garden please. Guest access Guests have sole use of the Lodge and the immediate garden surrounding it. When we are about and not too busy, guests are welcome to get up close to our animals. Other things to note There are plenty of pubs within a few minutes drive. We have provided a few maps for guests to use. We live on a windy hilly country lane - the limited public transport is approx one mile away. We are only 6 miles from Hereford. The rivers Lugg and Wye run through Herefordshire and are great places to fish and canoe. (the very popular Hay to Hereford canoe trip terminates about 3 miles from us) The forest of Dean, Black Mountains, Hay-on-Wye are all within easy reach.
