Hike some of Maine's best trails overlooking the bay or spend an afternoon whale watching, fishing, or view the famous Old Sow Whirlpool. Enjoy sun-filled rooms and cottage decor. Buy fresh lobster, grill on the large deck, or dine in-town at one of Eastport's renowned cafes overlooking the water. Access and use of our 7-acre oceanfront, private beach property. We bought our Antique Cottage in the Spring of 2020 and decided to lovingly restore it to a quaint and updated version of itself. If you need anything during your stay, please let us know and we will be available to help you. This quaint little street is located just steps away from the heart and center of Eastport where you can shop, dine and take in the sights and sounds of Passamaquoddy Bay. There are many art galleries, gift shops, museums (including the Mustard Museum), coffee shops, wine bar and brewery to visit. If you never left Eastport, you could easily enjoy your time without going anywhere else. Eastport is a tiny island and is the easternmost city in the United States. Our neighbors are sweet and friendly but mostly quiet. There are only four other houses on the street and you'll have lots of privacy. Don't be surprised if they poke their heads out and say hello, be sure to ask them all about Eastport. The locals know all kinds of hidden gems to check out and can tell you quite a bit about the history of the city. Our second property is located on Carlow Island just a couple of miles away. There are plenty of fold-up chairs and even a picnic basket in the dining room that you can pack for a day at the beach. A local vendor will drop off kayaks if you'd like to launch them off of our private beach. Please note-the cottage is a couple blocks away from the ocean. You are allowed access the second property which is 7 acres on the ocean. You don’t need a 4 wheel drive but it is a dirt road. Season depending, the second property has blackberry bushes and apple trees and you are free to pick as many as you like when they are in season. No license is required to fish off the pier in downtown Eastport, we have fishing poles in the shed. Also, there is a trampoline on the property for younger children. No adults or older kids on the trampoline please. We have fire pits on both properties. Lastly, the cottage has curtains for doors in the upstairs bedrooms. Check out our guide for more information. You can easily walk to the little downtown where you can catch a ferry to Lubec or to Campobello Island in Canada. There are many beautiful spots to visit which are accessible by car and only a few minutes drive. Our second property which is a 7 acre beachfront property is a few minutes drive away and has a private beach.
