The space The house is located between the Els Ports and Ebro Delta Nature Parks, on an estate of centuries-old olive trees. It is a secluded house with mountain and sea views, surrounded by olive groves, and on clear days, from the terrace, you can see the Mediterranean Sea on the horizon. Access to the estate is directly from the road TV-3421 that links Tortosa and Mas de Barberans, the house is located inside the estate and you can enjoy privacy. The village of Mas de Barberans is 2 km from the house. In summer we recommend cooling off in the municipal pool, which is a 2-minute drive away and has spectacular views. Olivium Mare is an off-grid accommodation in a rural setting: “off-grid.” The electricity is with solar panels. It is recommended to use the oven and hair dryer during the hours of sunshine. There is hot water in the kitchen and bathroom, with gas heater. As this is a protected area, the use of barbecues is not allowed from March to October. The house is in a rural area and olive trees in production. Occasionally you can find tractors on the road, the shepherd with their sheep or the sounds of the farmers working, along with other activities of the countryside. There are also peculiar insects such as the amantis, some native salamanders and in summer at sunset it is recommended throughout the Delta area, use mosquito bite protector. The house has screens on all doors and windows, to isolate the house from flies and mosquitoes. We have 2 powerful fans, which you can locate where you prefer. You can make endless excursions for all ages and with your pet by the Ports, Delta and Ribera del Rio Ebro, walking, biking , boat, or kayac you can enjoy all the landscapes offered by this area of unique beauty. Other things to note Olivium Mare is an “off-grid” estate. Off the grid. It has solar-powered electricity and a septic tank. Since it is not connected to the sewer system, toilet paper must be disposed of in the waste bin in the bathroom. It is an area of olive groves in production, and occasionally there may be people working on nearby farms, carrying out typical farm tasks. In the hot months, there may be flies and mosquitoes. There are mosquito nets throughout the house, but sometimes, when you open the front door, a mischievous fly might sneak in... That's why we always leave guests a fly/mosquito repellent spray. If you are visiting in the summer, we recommend using mosquito repellent, as there are usually mosquitoes in the area, especially at sunset. We welcome pets regardless of breed or size. “All pets are welcome here!” The estate is no fence. No T.V. There is no wifi. There is cell phone coverage. The option not to install a TV or Wi-Fi is provided to help guests disconnect from the daily routine and connect with the natural environment, talk, observe, listen, play, walk, etc. No air conditioning There are 2 powerful fans. There is a wood-burning stove and plenty of firewood. There is an Imectec electric blanket (with overheating protection) on the bed, which can be set for 1, 3, or 9 hours and has different heat levels, so you can sleep in cozy warmth in winter. This electric blanket is highly appreciated by all our guests. There are fun board games. There is the sound of birdsong. There is relaxation and spectacular views from the terrace.
