The Hacienda del Sol is a Historic Bed and Breakfast built in 1804. The Hacienda was Mabel Dodge Lujan and Tony Lujan's first home together in Taos. Guests that have stayed at our Inn included Georgia O'Keefe, Ansel Adams, Willa Cather, DH Lawrence, etc. We have two big beautiful lawns in the back of our Inn with clear sunset views of Taos Mountain. We serve a delicious Gourmet Free Breakfast. The Love Apple, (A+ restaurant), shares our driveway and is walking distance for dinner. The space Taos Suite is a two Bedroom, bottom floor room that is great for families. Your accommodations includes: a designated parking spot, front patio with two Lounge chairs, King bed, two Twin Beds in a separate bedroom, luxury sheets / towels / pillows / soaps / shampoo, and conditioner. A Gas Kiva Fireplace, private bathroom with Shower and Jacuzzi Tub Combo, Saltillo tile floors, Sofa, Mini Fridge, Keurig, and Tea. Our Gourmet Breakfast is complimentary from 8-9:30 and is located in the First building as you enter the Driveway and includes; Local Apothecary Coffee, Zumex fresh squeezed OJ, homemade Quiches, Proscuitto egg cups, Scrambled Eggs, Tamales, Potato Gratin, Chobani Yogurts, Fresh Assorted Pastries, Assorted Breads, Fruits, Avocados, Cereals and more! Our property sits on approximately 1.5 acres of mature trees and lawns and our adobe structure encompass over 10,000 square ft. Common areas include the Library / Lounge, Dining area for Breakfast and two giant lawns to daydream under the Mature Trees or lounge in our lounge chairs to take in the majestic views of Taos Mountain! Guest access Our guests have full access to all of the accommodations we offer at our Inn. Your individual code will give you access to all the doors on our property during your stay. During your stay Happy to help if you need us. Other things to note We are 1 mile from the center of Taos, in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood called El Prado. Cids market (local, organic, etc,) is 5 minute walk, as is the Cellar (exceptional wine / beer / spirits). Arroyo Seco (enchanting small town with food, art and shopping) is 15 minute drive away from town. Taos Ski Valley is about 20 mins drive beyond Arroyo Seco. Rio Grande Gorge Bridge is 15 minute drive. Ojo Caliente Hot Springs about 30 minutes past the Rio Grande Bridge. Santa Fe is about 1:45 drive. Many great shops, restaurants, galleries, museums. Lots to do and see in the area!
