This new venture by friends, is an introduction of how foreigners can partner with indigenous property owners and create a mutually beneficial business model without buying land from indigenous families who are already seeing their land sold to foreigners. Together we have built the first luxury boutique apartment in San Marcos La Laguna. You will find a hidden 4 story modern building that combines a modern design with natural elements creating a unique and tasteful chic esthetic. Each floor boasts its own cozy private suite and private bath. Each room has been carefully designed with hand-painted wall art and textured painting so that each guest has its own experience. The furniture is mostly exotic wood from the Guatemalan Pacific Coast and the craftsmanship of local indigenous carpenters. We hope you will enjoy your stay. Guest access Guests will have access to a common garden space and shared kitchenette. We are centrally located, only 2 minutes walk to the lake and directly outside our garden you will find the main path with access to restaurants and cafes. During your stay We are happy to greet you and answer any questions on arrival. During your stay we will be available either in person or via phone to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. Other things to note This is a small apartment building and we ask that all guests are considerate of noise level. This building has steep stairs for those with any mobility issues. Please note we are located in the town center with potential for noise (especially barking which is an issue on the entire lake). We suggest you bring earplugs during your time in Guatemala. Some spaces are open (3rd and 4th floor apartments. We are happy to provide additional blankets or space heater if available. Solar heated water is provided. It is suggested to shower after 9AM to allow the system to heat. While we provide the best wifi available electricity is not consistent on the entire Lake Atitlan. There are scheduled and random power outages. If your work requires a consistent wifi, we suggest buying a TIGO chip while in Guatemala so you can hotspot yourself when needed.
