The space Tenrai is a contemporary ryokan that accommodates only one group per day. It is a renovated 150-year-old wealthy merchant's mansion built in the late Edo period, allowing you to relax and enjoy the old-fashioned history of the building. 【Domestic Dining Kitchen (Main building)】 By utilizing the old beams and creating a high ceiling, we have created a bright and open space. We have provided kitchen appliances, utensils, and tableware, so you can cook like you are at home. One of the charms of renting an entire ryokan is that you can bring your favorite ingredients and enjoy a private meal. In chilly weather, you can also use the floor heating. 【Large Public Bath (Main building)】 We have prepared a luxurious bathroom where you can enjoy the scent of Hiba wood while overlooking the dry landscape garden. The powerful stonework expresses the Horai mountain, where the immortals are said to live, and the Horai-style garden was created with the consciousness of Kobori Enshu. At night, it creates a fantastic atmosphere with lighting. Please enjoy a relaxing time while looking at the Tsuboniwa (small garden) with plenty of hot water. 【Japanese-style Room (Main building)】 This is a spacious room in the traditional Japanese ryokan style. You can enjoy the "Tiger's Cub Crossing Garden," a dry landscape garden that also has the consciousness of Kobori Enshu, on the veranda when you open the Yukimi shoji (snow-viewing paper door). The tiger is said to travel a thousand miles and return in a day, so we created the garden to pray for the safety and well-being of your trip. Please spend a relaxing time in the garden that shows different expressions throughout the four seasons. 【Living Room/Multipurpose Room (Main building)】 In the multipurpose room on the second floor, we have prepared a large sofa, chairs, and a large TV for you to relax in comfort. You can not only feel the long history of the building from the old beams unique to a traditional Japanese house, but also enjoy the feeling of time-slipping back to the Edo period by looking out from the shoji window onto the Machiya street. Please relax in this special space that transcends time. 【Separate Room/Others】 We have installed a newly renovated shower room, washstand, and toilet in the separate building. The bedroom and bed layout will be adjusted according to your request.
