Immerse yourself in nature with a quiet get-away in this charming one bedroom 3/4 bath beachfront suite on the banks of gorgeous Hammersly Inlet. Embrace the peace & tranquility of the south Puget Sound while relaxing on the large deck. Make smores over a fire, play yard games, kayak, or swing by the creek while watching for seals, otters, birds, fish, deer, and in the spring & summer- Orca whales! Just steps away you'll find shared stairs with direct access to the 400 ft private beach. The space Hammersly Haven is a coastal themed retreat attached; but completely closed off and separated from the main home. It features over 400 feet of low bank beachfront property with a 250 sq ft deck with panoramic views of Hammersly Inlet. Nestled along the creeks edge of the property you'll also find a bridge and a swing to enjoy the picturesque views where the freshwater meets the sound. Down a quiet one lane scenic road you'll arrive to covered parking with a separate entrance. The spacious main living area has a sofa that pulls out to a queen bed, a chaise lounge chair, full kitchen, small dining table, TV, ceiling fan, and a wall heat/AC unit to keep the suite the desired temperature at all times. In the bedroom you'll find floor to ceiling windows with 180 degrees of waterfront views, a small flatscreen TV, propane fireplace, and a queen bed with heated mattress pad to keep you cozy on chilly nights. Bathrobes, thick towels, and an open rainfall shower await you in the spa inspired bathroom. From the living room and bedroom slider you can access the large deck where you'll have your own private little oasis. The deck is the perfect spot to take in the sights and sounds of the Puget Sound and watch for wildlife while you sink into the cushioned chaise loungers with a cup of fresh ground coffee, or relax with a cool drink in a rocker under the sun umbrella. Off the deck you can BBQ on the propane grill, sit by a fire while listening to the frogs and watching the stars, or play some cornhole, axe throwing, croquet, or badmitton out on the large lawn. Hammersly Haven is located just 25 minutes from downtown Olympia and in the proximity to Hood Canal, the Olympic National Forest, and the Washington coast. About 15 minutes away you can visit Walter Dacon Winery, see a movie at the Skyline Drive-in, and go -kart or watch car racing at Ridge Motor Sports. If you're feeling lucky; Little Creek Casino is also just minutes away where you can gamble, enjoy a delicious seafood meal, attend an event at the Skookum Creek event center, or indulge at the Seven Inlets spa. Downtown Shelton is a cute and growing town just 10 minutes away; there you will find Safeway, a small movie theater, several restaurants and food trucks, many antique stores, coffee stands, a seasonal farmers market, parks, and more. The town hosts several festivals throughout the year- including Oysterfest in early October, Mason County Forest Festival in early June, The Bluegrass Festival in early July, and Holiday magic and light boat parade in early December. Guest access Guests will have full access to the grass areas by the deck, fire pit, and the large area beside the driveway for playing any yard games. The beach is fully accessible for kayaking, fishing, wading, swimming, exploring, playing etc. Please note that harvesting shellfish from the beach is not allowed. Creek side access is bridge to bridge. (includes the swing, bench and narrow walkway along the creek). **For owners privacy- please avoid grass areas beyond the beach stairs and area from walkway past the bridge/long stairs on the creekside of property. **Neighbors property- please avoid grass and beach areas beyond property line. (approx at the large tree in grass), docks, and property at top of long stairs by creek. Thank you Other things to note The bedroom is separate from main living space but connected by a small hallway with no door. The bed is behind a wall but this space might be best for couples, small families, or shared with other adults who don't mind sleeping on a sofa bed or having full closed off privacy of a bedroom door. Bathroom has a rainfall shower that is meant to mimic a relaxing gentle rinse in the rain and not intended to be a high pressure or massaging shower system. The property and road are surrounded by trees so the cell service can be spotty for certain providers such as T-Mobile. There should be no trouble with service once you log into the Wifi when you arrive. Both TV's have Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu with live TV, HBO Max, Disney Plus, and ESPN streaming. The owners live on the property and have 3 friendly doodles. Dogs will use other areas of the property when guests are staying to avoid any unwanted barking or licking. Landscapers visit 2-3x a month and will mow by deck and fire pit areas if they are here during your stay. (we will have them avoid blowing the deck to keep disturbance down as much as possible) Sprinklers come on twice a day for 30 minutes each section to water the grass and flower beds in the morning and later in the evening in the late Spring-early Fall.
