Historic Wern Manor - Sleeps 10 + 4

Gather some friends or come with the whole family and spend some quality time together at the historic Wern Manor, a country house between the towns of Porthmadog and Criccieth and within easy reach of everything that is on offer in North Wales: beaches, castles, steam trains, zip wires and the mountains of Eryri/Snowdonia. Or simply relax and unwind in the Manor itself and its 15 acre grounds which offer stunning views of the Moel y Gest. You won't want to ever leave. The space Wern Manor is an impressive and substantial Grade-II* listed manor house occupying a glorious, tranquil position within its own 15-acre grounds. The original house dates back to the early 16th century but was substantially remodelled in the 19th century by its then owner Richard Greaves, manager of the LLechwedd Slate Quarry, who directed Chester Architect John Douglas to create the current house in the 'Jacobethan' Arts & Craft style of the late Victorian era. Wern Manor can comfortably accommodate 10 adults and 4 children (on pull-out beds in the old Servants Hall). Three of the large and comfortable bedrooms have super kingsize beds which can be set up as twin singles on request (please notify us when booking) the other two bedrooms have equally comfortable double beds. Guest access Your accommodation in the Manor is located entirely on the ground floor, starting from the magnificent entrance, through the glorious oak-panelled entrance hall and into the impressive entertaining spaces of the Victorian gentry. The 5 bedroom suites are situated in the old Servants' Wing, which also houses a well-equipped kitchen and an informal dining space. There are an additional 4 pull-out beds in the former Servants Hall - ideal for independent younger guests. Other things to note Should your party exceed the total of 10 +4 guests that the Manor can accommodate, there is the option of adding on one or both of our cottages. The Butler's House sleeps 4 in one double and one twin bedrooms with a downstairs bathroom and the Bothy sleeps 5 in one double, one twin and one single bedroom with a shower room on the first floor and a bathroom on the ground floor.
