My basement apt has a separate entrance, large open room with 2 futons (full size beds) & 2 futon chairs that lay out for a child. There is a full private bathroom & a kitchen. The laundry is shared, but we try not to use it while we have guests. Close to O'hare airport and Rosemont Conventions. The North Branch bike & walking path is one block away. One mile from both the Blue line el train and the Metra train, bus right outside. The basement has no windows, but plenty of lamps. The space This is a basement, with one glass block window, but if you want fresh air, you are welcome to use the patio. I am 1.1 miles from the blue line "L" train, the Jefferson Park station. My place is private and 2 blocks from the forest preserve. I am less than a mile from the Edgebrook Metra train station which goes to Union Station. It is also walking distance to a public golf course, ample transportation options, and several restaurants. A nice Italian place are across the street. There is a charcoal BBQ grill in the back and lawn furniture, please feel comfortable to use them. Plenty of free parking. My neighborhood is very safe, it is where most of the city police, firefighters, & teachers live as it is the closest neighborhood to the suburbs, yet still in the city limits. The space is intentionally kept in a 70s style and decor. Guest access There is a smartlock for easy 24 hour check-in. The entire basement, except a storage room is yours. There is a wet bar, but I ask that you please don't use it as it is vintage and I do not want it damaged. You may not use the hot tub. Other things to note If you use the stove/oven, you are responsible for cleaning it. There is no disposal on the sink, please do not put food waste in the sink, you have to scrape your plates, etc. Into the garbage. Please do not dry laundry at the same time you are cooking, it will overload the gas connection. And please do not use more than one appliance at a time on the counter. Please lock the outside door when you leave and use the code to re-enter. The door doesn't lock automatically, you have to press the Schlage button to lock it.
