Come enjoy TheAspenHouse! Your little cabin destination nestled away in the aspens & pines. Set on a little over 2 acres this is the perfect retreat for a nice getaway to disconnect & enjoy some peace & quiet. Located 21 miles from Fairplay & 43 miles from Breckenridge you’ll be able to enjoy being remote or take a quick drive into town. We are 1 hour 45 minutes from the Denver area. 4WD or AWD is required Oct. 1st - May 1st. This is Colorado! :) Park County STR License 22STR-00487 The space The Aspen House has a large living area & kitchen that is a very open concept. There are two bedrooms that have king beds. If you are looking at the pictures the second bedroom does have a ladder that leads to a large loft area with two queen beds & a TV. The perfect quiet retreat. There is a large porch wrapped around the property, which opens up to a hot tub. This is a great place to enjoy a glass (plastic) of wine & enjoy the stars. Due to guests leaving the cover of the hot tub open over night the hot tub had cracked over Christmas! With the delivery of a brand new hot tub there will be a $300 fine if we see the cover left open over night. That is our one rule. While the cameras on the property do not view the entire hot tub we can see if the cover is open or closed from a corner view. We want people to have privacy, but lack of care for the unit resulted in a full replacement. Thank you for understanding!! :) Enjoy your stay! Guest access Guests will have access to majority of the house. (all the important rooms). There are two closets in the front that are utility rooms that have been locked, and a shed that is used for storage that is locked as well. Other than that enjoy all the 2 acre property has to offer! Unfortunately due to the dry climate outdoor fires are not permitted. We do provide a propane tank for the propane fire pit and grill. If you are going use the wood burning stove inside please make sure to bring some firewood. Other things to note Being that we are a remote cabin please keep in mind we are on well and septic. We do have extra filtration systems on the well, but if you do not love well water make sure to bring a case of water. We have had it tested and approved for drinking, but I know some people who just don’t love well water. Actually might be some of the best water to drink, but just wanted to let guests know ahead of time. We doing have furry friends outside that will visit. Please be mindful and respectful to our deer friends, foxes, moose, and occasional bears! Cell reception you will have most of the time, but can be spotty, so wifi is provided.
