Where once The Blueberry Special dropped local residents off to pick blueberries people can enjoy exploring nature through snowshoeing, snowmobiling, hiking, hunting, and even pick blueberries in July! A national scenic riverway, the mighty St. Croix is a mile away, the famous Crex Meadows Wildlife area is 12 miles away, and the Governor Knowles State Forest is right outside the door! Basement apartment below a family home. 2 bedrooms with 1 queen bed each that have keypad locks. Guests are welcome to sleep on the two couches in the living area or there is plenty of space for air mattresses. There is a TV in the bedroom on the left and one in the living area. There is no kitchen, but a mini fridge, Keurig/coffee Maker, and toaster oven is provided. The bathroom is a full bath with a stand-up shower only. You will enter the basement apartment through the sliding glass door under the back deck. The whole basement is yours, please respect our privacy and do not enter the upstairs. If we absolutely have to access the downstairs closets or boiler-room, I will make sure to message first for permission. You may park any big rigs on our property but please avoid parking in front of the garage or the wood stove. We have a horse pasture in the front yard, you are welcome to say hi to the horses but please do not reach over our fence or feed them any food, thank you! The host will be available on site when not at work, always feel free to message me through air b&b and I will get back to you as soon as possible! Surrounded by woods, close to hiking trails, snowmobile trail, and the St. Croix River 12 miles from town, the closest river crossing for vehicles is hwy 70 about 9 miles from our home. We are far out so no public transportation, park by the cloths line/electrical box, extra parking across the driveway for bigger vehicles. Snowmobiling trails across the road! My husband and I live upstairs with 2 dogs. The dogs are very friendly but have been known to show a protective side and like to take things if left unattended outside. Most of the time the dogs are under strict supervision, but sometimes are given a little more freedom. Our home is heated by wood boiler. Our furnace room and personal storage area are in the back part of the basement, so we may require access, which means we’ll have to walk through the living room area.
