Hummingbird apt

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful cozy apartment. The deck overlooks the woods and creek. You can hear the water going as long as we aren’t in a drought. The property is over 3.5 acres and you’re free to explore (the woods are not groomed so please be mindful, you hike at your own risk and we take no responsibility for any injuries due to falling). The space I bought this home back in 2020, it was an old group home for the developmentally disabled. I’ve been trying to transform this space and have put a lot of love and positive energy into this home/apartment. I’ve built this apartment from scratch. Transforming bare rooms into a tranquil living space. This is a 1 bedroom, 1 bath rental. It is attached to the main house but there is complete separation and a separate entrance. You have access to a full kitchen that is shared with the living room (not the main house but the rental). There is a separate dining room, bathroom and bedroom. I kindly ask you don’t wear shoes in the house. I have provided slippers or shoe covers (white table-bottom left basket when entering). During the spring and summer enjoy the flowers around the yard and the lovely pollinators it brings. For the summer, the AC is portable, being able to move between the living room windows and the bedroom window. If you will be gone for most of or all of the day, please make sure this and lights are shut off. Guest access You have access to a private deck. You cross through my main deck to get to the apartment. You are free to explore the yard and woods (at your own risk as these as the woods aren’t groomed). You can take a seat around the garden, please don’t touch unless you have permission. We have a family of wrens that fly around and a set of hummingbirds that love the flowers and the feeders that are placed around the yard. There is a fire pit in the back. Please contact me if you’d like to use this. There are outdoor security cameras on the property. Other things to note *please note: if there is a discount of more than 30%, things like paper towels, coffee, tissues, cooking oil, detergent, ect are not refilled (1st one provided) and the responsibility of the renter. In the winter for monthly stays I offer a large discount so shoveling the deck for the rental is your responsibility. For an additional fee this can be provided. 50% off discount is only valid for month stays from December to mid March. The manual is in the top left drawer of white table when entering the apt that has all the information you’ll need. When pulling in, stay to the right, it is the paved driveway. You’ll take this up and park behind the garage. You’ll then walk around the garage, in between the main house and the garage will be the main deck, walk through there and you’ll see the apartment deck towards the woods. Go up the stairs and there you are. If I’m away, there are two sets of cones you’ll have to move to access the driveway. Windows: these are all brand new. Depending on weather I may keep these open as there is a safety mechanism to prevent them from being opened all the way. There is one on the left and right side of the window (top portion). To open the window all of the way, you just pull the window shut, press them in and then you can open the window all the way. If the safety mechanisms are closed just gently move your finger up on it and it will pop out, allowing the window to be safely open (partially) while you’re gone. Do not force these. If guests break these you’re responsible for the replacement. For weekly stays or more, you get one load of laundry included each week. Due to this being attached to my home you need to coordinate with me so I can unlock the door for use. Detergent and fabric sheets are provided. Adults only, unless preapproved prior to booking (e.g. infant).
