Thatched cottage in Vorpommern

Relax in this private house with a thatched roof, take long, solitary walks through the woods and pastures, ride bikes, swim in nearby lakes, hang out in the garden, eat, play table tennis, build a fire, or garden. The house is located on a quiet village street with nice neighbors, and the back garden gate leads straight into the forest. The old laundry room has been converted into an additional bedroom with a bathroom. Szczecin and the Szczecin Lagoon are about 30 minutes away. The space The main house is small and cosy with an open kitchen and living room, a veranda framed by windows, and a bedroom and bathroom on the lower floor. Upstairs there is a large room with two beds and a sleeping loft with futons. There is no door, the stairs lead directly into the room, so if you don't want to be woken up by the clattering of cups in the morning, you might prefer to sleep in the old laundry room, which has a double bed and its own bathroom. The house can sleep a maximum of 8 people. The house and outbuildings were built by the previous owner in the 1950s. We bought the house in 2015, renovated it extensively and are still working on it. The garden is large, with a fruit tree meadow, herb bed and the Sleeping Beauty project – flowering hedges that are being planted and are slowly growing on the barren sandy soil of Western Pomerania. There is a cosy pallet sofa outside, a beer table and benches, a fire basket, a hammock and a table tennis table, and a fun collection of bicycles. In summer, the garden area between the four buildings is transformed into a large additional room, and in winter, when the sun is shining, the veranda becomes a bright and warm favourite spot for long breakfasts or working with a view. The main house has WiFi and a projector that can be connected to a laptop for relaxing in the evenings – you'll need to bring your own laptop.
