Santa Cruz Mountain Retreat
Escape to the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains! This brand new tiny home sits on our secluded 10 acre property. Enjoy our peaceful slice of heaven in this cozy retreat. This tiny home is beautiful with it's own expansive outdoor space to relax and enjoy the redwood forest and sounds of nature. We are located near amazing hiking trails and world class mountain biking trails. We are 15 minutes to Felton and Henry Cowell State Park and 20 minutes to downtown Santa Cruz and the beach! This is a brand new tiny house with all the amenities of a home. The sleeping area is a king size bed up in a loft and, as is typical of tiny houses, there is not standing room up there so please bear in mind when choosing our home. Our family lives in the main house on the property. We love our mountain sanctuary! Here we have gardens, chickens, goats and lots of space to wander and enjoy the beautiful forest. Please note, we have two dogs and cats here that roam freely. Our place might not be a great fit for those who don’t love animals. The tiny house is accessible through our main gate and has its own spacious yard and plenty of parking. We are happy to give our guests their privacy and are willing to be contacted if any issues arise or if we can be of assistance in any way We are in a quiet and unique neighborhood on top of the mountain. Nearby are the hiking and biking trails of Henry Cowell State Park, Wilder, Bonny Doon Ecological Reserve, Fall Creek and UCSC. A beautiful drive down the mountain towards the ocean will take you to the tiny coastal town of Davenport where there are restaurants, wine tasting and the stunning and secluded beaches of the rugged coastline north of Santa Cruz. A 15 minute drive down the mountain to the north will bring you to the charming historical small towns of the San Lorenzo Valley, including Felton, Ben Lomond and Boulder Creek. Here you will find quaint shops, a natural food market, groceries, the beautiful San Lorenzo River, Roaring Camp Railroad and the stunning and diverse landscape of Henry Cowell State Park. 20 minutes away is Santa Cruz and all it has to offer. Shop and dine at the many restaurants and breweries along Pacific Avenue Downtown. Walk or bike the iconic trail along West Cliff. Enjoy the beautiful and pristine beaches. Learn how to surf at Cowells beach! The drive up to our property involves winding mountain roads so it is best to traverse during the daylight hours. The cell reception up here is spotty so please set your GPS to navigate before you head up the mountain from town. There is plenty of parking here. We can also accommodate RV parking.
