Koornalla Homestead has a fascinating history, it was moved from the gold fields of Walhalla 112 years ago on the back of a bullock dray. The homestead sits on 590 acres and is a working beef farm. Located in the beautiful Koornalla valley, it is a scenic drive to the popular Tarra-Bulga National park. On hot days there is a stone pebbled river, a short 2 min drive up the valley (Koornalla Farm Park) where you can picnic by the river, take a swim, practice fly fishing, skim rocks or just relax. The space The Homestead is a traditional farm house with high ceilings, fire places, air conditioning, and a wood fire stove. The kitchen also has modern appliances, ie microwave, Air Fryer, electric cook top, grill and second small electric oven. The homestead has a large two sided veranda to soak up the views across the valley. There is also a large luxurious bathroom with a claw foot bath in the middle of the room. Positioned under the chandelier and in front of the window to take in the view. The dinning table seats 8 and is the ideal place to share a family meal, whilst enjoying the ambience of an open fire. The space opens onto the lounge area with two comfy chesterfield couches. There is a second living area, a sitting room with its own fire place. The perfect place to escape with a book and glass of wine. The property is pet friendly, the perimeter of the large garden is fenced off, so it’s ideal for dogs to run around! The garden also has a long established orchard which you are very welcome to harvest the fruits when they are in season.
