HOUSEHOLD is a complex facility that is a renovation of an old building near the sea. The 1st floor is a kitchen where everyone enjoy as a cafe or to make dinner, the 2nd floor is a gallery, the 3rd floor is a second house for long stay, and the 4th floor is an inn. There are kitchen dining where you can cook while looking at the sea, spacious bedrooms (2 rooms) where you can work in your room, and a laundry space where you can wash your clothes, making it easy for you to stay for a long time. Adjacent to two rooms, there is a shared kitchen/dining room where you can cook while looking at the ocean, a spacious shower room, and a laundry space, making it easy to stay for a long time. ------------------------------- Enjoy cooking with a view of the ocean! ------------------------------- The shared kitchen/dining room facing east offers a view of the ocean while sitting at the dining table. It is adjacent to the room, so you can relax without having to make a big move from your room. You are free to use the kitchen at any time during your stay, so you can quickly cook whenever you like. Cooking utensils, tableware, and seasonings are all provided. Please try your hand at cooking with some of Himi's local ingredients. ------------------------------- The kitchen door to local taste and authentic life ------------------------------- The everyday life of the town’s residents can be discovered through the local cuisine. While enjoying meals made by culinary professionals at hotels and Japanese-style inns is one way to enjoy your trip, we recommend a down-to-earth approach, which is gathering the local ingredients of the season and taking the time to cook for yourself. The concept at HOUSEHOLD is to feel as though you were visiting a friend in this town and cooking together. We believe that by cooking the local ingredients, you can get hands-on experience to familiarize yourself with the specialties of this town and get a deeper understanding of the rich land. We opened HOUSEHOLD with the hopes of sharing this unique experience. Enjoy cooking and dining in the kitchen/dining room on this floor. (1F kitchen is not available) ------------------------------- 2F gallery ------------------------------- At the gallery, we’ll hold original exhibitions of local Himi life, as well as exhibitions by local craftspeople and artists. On our bookshelves, we have recipe books that’ll inspire your culinary creativity and essays on gastronomy. We also have various boo ------------------------------- 1F kitchen ------------------------------- 8:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. We have something to drink or eat for a rest. Please drop in and see me when you come over here even if you don’t have accommodation. ------------------------------- Annex workspace ------------------------------- We have a coworking space overlooking the sea that is located on the second floor of the building beside HOUSEHOLD. The large round office table is perfect for concentrating on tasks and meetings. Advance reservations are required. Other things to note If you have any concerns about the following, we may not be able to meet your expectations. Please be sure to check and ask me before making a reservation. Since we have renovated an old building, and some parts of the building are made of old things such as antiques, and natural materials such as natural wood and stone, so some parts may look a little out of place as a hotel. Although it is not as clean as a new building, we hope you will enjoy the design and atmosphere created by old and natural objects. The inn is located in the middle of an everyday life in a residential area. If you meet the neighbors, please greet them. I hope you enjoy talking to the neighbors and interact with them (some are shy). There is no bathtub in the bathroom. If you want to be relux, I'll show you some hot springs nearby. Beverages, desserts, and light meals may be eaten in your room. However, please refrain from bringing in strong-smelling foods (pizza, instant foods, snacks). We hope you enjoy local meals and restaurant. Please use the common areas until 22:00. Please turn off the lights in your room by 24:00. Please enjoy the nature and the quiet night atmosphere of the town. The curtains in the guest rooms are not light-shielding. We recommend you to move your body with the movement of the sun. There are no screens on the windows. Please be aware that insects may come in. Electric mosquito coils and insect repellents are available for free. There are no lockers in the rooms.
