Description
We are at the foot of Serra do Lopo, in the middle of the Atlantic Forest. We have a private waterfall, where you can relax, meditate, bathe and be in 100% contact with nature, so we decided to call our space Refuge. We are 2 km from Parque da Cachoeira do Salto (possible to walk) and 7 km (~10 min) from the city center. Nearby (less than 4 km) there are several tourist attractions. The space The Refuge is within our 36,000 m² site, with many green areas, many fruit trees, as well as a private waterfall. Here, you can observe many types of birds and other native animals, such as the Black-faced Guigó. We renovated an old shimeji cultivation greenhouse to make it a cozy Indian-style house. We took advantage of the shelves where the mushrooms were grown, to turn them into walls/cabinets. The house has a living room, 2 bedrooms (one double and one with 2 single beds), a kitchen, a bathroom, a balcony and a fire pit area. The Indian style is to invite everyone to meditation, yoga and spirituality. Guest access When staying here at the Refuge, you can: - have free access to the waterfall area; - walk around the site and enjoy the beauties that nature offers; - visit the Atelier das Pedras (where my mother does handmade mineral lapidation); - get a massage next to the waterfall (my partner does it); - take a TaiChi/ChiKung class (by appointment); The refuge is between the entrance to the site (150 m) and the main house (~80 m). The area around the retreat is exclusive to guests. Other things to note - There is no cell phone signal on the site (no carrier), only Wi-Fi. - In the region (within a radius of less than 5 km) it is possible to buy fresh cheese, free-range eggs, honey, cachaça, fresh vegetables. - One of the tourist attractions in the region offers a full Minas Gerais breakfast (by appointment). - Voltage inside the refuge is 110V. Outside the refuge, there is a 220V outlet. - The water in the refuge comes from a spring. - We provide bed/bath linen and cleaning products. - The road up to here is paved, only inside the property it is not. - We have 4 dogs and 5 cats. The dogs are loose in the morning (6 a.m. to 9 a.m.) and in the afternoon (3 p.m. to 8 p.m.). They're not mean, they just like to play. - In the waterfall area, NO loud music, barbecue, alcoholic beverages and climbing on slippery rocks (for safety). - We do not accept Loud Music at any time of the day here on the premises, as we believe this is a place to enjoy nature and its sounds. - No smoking inside the house.
