Originally an RV garage transformed into a cozy space with loft area for sleeping. The concrete floor keeps the place cool on hot summer days. Corrugated metal wall and shower with copper water pipes and black pipe railings give an industrial look. Electric crystal rock fireplace for colorful heat. Wood deck, bbq and firepit behind the loft. And only 5 miles to the Nisqually entrance of Mt Rainier National Park. Through this entrance, you can continue on to Sunrise, White River and Ohanapecosh The space Bedroom in loft with queen bed has low ceiling - see photos. Galley kitchen with 2 burner electric hotplate, microwave, toaster oven, coffeemaker, toaster, pots, pans, utensils, dishes and glassware. Medium size retro style fridge with small freezer. Large enclosed carport with picnic table for outside dining during rainy weather. Behind the carport is a deck with built in seating, a bbq and a fire pit. Guest access You will have entire apartment and access to front yard and back deck. Lock box will be next to garage door. After booking go to guest resources to see lockbox code. Please park next to chain link fence in front of carport. Please do not park car inside carport. If more than one car, please park on the road between the 2 driveways. The Nisqually entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park is the only year round entrance for vehicles and is a 5 mile drive. Ashford is about a 5 mile drive and has a small grocery/general store which sells basic grocery, hardware, beer and wine, a gas station and convenience store and a US post office. Restaurants include Copper Creek Inn, Wild Berry Restaurant, Rainier BaseCamp Bar & Grill and Whittaker Cafe. In the historic town of Elbe, a 12 mile drive, visit the Mt. Rainier Railroad and Logging Museum. Eat and drink at Mt. Rainier Railroad Dining Co. train cars, the Elbe Bar & Grill, Pizza Express and Scaleburgers. Nearest town of Eatonville with grocery, pharmacy, liquor store, bars and restaurants is 24 miles away. The larger town of Spanaway is a 40 mile drive with larger stores, gas stations, chain restaurants, ATMs and a dispensary. Other things to note -For 2 people only. Please DO NOT sleep on sofa. You may request a single blow up mattress ahead of time. -There is another guest apartment above the loft and you will hear them. They are aware that other guests may be staying below and have been asked to be mindful of their noise. Most guests are usually spending their days at the mountain. If noise is excessive please message host immediately. -There are no fences around the property and neighbors have small harmless dogs that roam freely between properties and will often bark at you. -Fire wood and kindling available at Ashford general store and Jacobs barber shop on the corner of 706 and Kernahan. . Please DO NOT use charcoal lighter fluid. -Depending on your mobile carrier, cell service may be spotty but with wifi-enabled calling you should be able to make calls and text. Wifi by Century Link which supplies a maximum speed of 10 Mbps. No TV or other media devices. ---This is a rural area where electrical outages are not uncommon. Refunds are not issued in the event of a power outage and/or loss of internet. -Tap water is pleasant tasting community well water which is tested regularly. --We are on an older septic system so please flush only toilet paper. -Please do not use the white bathroom towels for cleaning anything but yourself or for removing makeup which stains. -Antibacterial liquid hand soap at kitchen sink and Lysol spray in wood crate.
