Here you have the longest sunshine, only 15 minutes from Preikestolen. We offer a wide range of toys and activities for the children. There is also a private jetty for the cabin area where you can fish, catch crabs, swim or just enjoy the sun. The outdoor area includes a large terrace, garden, outdoor furniture, trampoline and barbecue. The cabin is isolated in a nice, smaller cabin area with friendly neighbors, ideal for relaxation and nature experiences at the famous Lysefjorden. The space The cabin has a great location with magnificent views of the Lysefjord and the surrounding mountains. It is located in a small and quiet cabin area, with parking spaces right at the door. The cabin is somewhat separated from the other cabins, so you have plenty of space outside as well. This is a nature plot where you have swings in the trees, a pond with a troll and beautiful rocks on the actual cabin plot. The cabin contains a living room with an open kitchen solution. Here you can sit to relax, while letting your eyes rest on the beautiful nature outside the large living room windows. Pizza oven is available. New large sofa and kitchen furniture were purchased in 2022. The number of bedrooms on the first floor is 4. One of the bedrooms has a family bunk bed. 7 beds on the ground floor. There is also a bathroom with shower on this floor. The loft consists of a large bedroom with a double bed and a living room. Wood stove and heat pump in the living room. All in all, you can expect a great and bright cabin with a very good standard and a great location. The stay will give guests a unique opportunity to enjoy nature, mountains and lake, as well as to recharge the batteries. Distance from Stavanger to the cabin is about 50 min by car. Recommended mountain trips in the immediate vicinity are Prekestolen, Fantapytten, Sokkanuten, Bergefjellet and Vikastakken. You can swim in several places in Lysefjorden. At the jetty to the cabin it is nice to take a dip. Here it is also nice to fish and catch crabs. The beautiful beach, Dørvika, is a walk of about 15 min from the cabin. Here is a great sandy beach, trees and toilets. The grocery stores, Joker and Coop market are located in the center of Forsand. Joker is known for its home-baked pastries. Swimming pool in the cultural center. You can also experience Lysefjorden and Prekestolen by booking a fjord cruise on Lysefjorden. Then you apply at Rødne and book through them. Canoes/kayaks can be rented at Coop marked in Forsand city center. Flørli is located on the south side of Lysefjorden and is the last port of call with the ferry before Lysebotn. The place, which is located on a steep hill, is without road connection and is known for its great hike up 4444 steps. Here you have great views. Café in the dock area. Jørpeland city, 15 min drive, has a cozy shopping center with various niche shops and eateries. Rosehagen is definitely worth a visit if you just want a coffee or something to eat. Rosehagen has a large and idyllic garden and terrace where you can enjoy good food and drinks. At Jørpelandsholmen there is a free frisbee golf course. Jørpelandsholmen also has nice swimming areas, barbecue facilities and a great hiking trail around the island itself. There is also a skate rink in the center of Jørpeland. Kjerag with the famous Kjerag bolt is also possible to experience. You then have to drive to Sirdal. Then it is easiest to use the ferry connection Oanes - Lauvvik. The ferry has a somewhat limited capacity and you should therefore check the timetables first. In Sirdal you can visit the restaurant, Slottet. The castle offers a magnificent view of the mountains and has good food. The candle factory Byrkjedalstunet is also worth a visit. Welcome to a cozy cabin in the immediate vicinity of mountains and fjords. The proximity to Pulpit Rock and other mountains contributes to an active experience if you wish. Otherwise, all conditions are right for a quiet and relaxing stay on the huge terrace/garden or by the beach. PS: We have decided to remove the fire pan as the cabin is very close to nature and trees. Not sure if a new fire pit will be purchased for the property. This is for safety and fire hazard.
