The cottage has covered verandah and an open terrace to enjoy the views of Sattal lakes and the surrounding pine forest. The property has private gardens, free parking and wifi, 100% power back, offers housekeeping service and option to order food from nearby Forest Bistro Cafe. Popular for Trekking bird watching and water sports. The space The Pine Cottage has 2 bedrooms with attached bath with running water and electric geysers. Both the bedroom have a covered verandah with great views of the Sattal Lakes and surrounding Pine forest. This area has sofa sets and chairs to enjoy your morning cup of tea and evening drinks.The cottage has all bed and bath linen and basic toileteries and storage cupboard and luggage rack. It has room heaters/blowers and electric blankets for winters and air conditioners (though rarely required) in summers. Both the bedrooms have TV with cable connection and tea coffee makers. Iron, iron board, drying rack etc are available. There is an attached living cum dining room which has a 4 seater dining table, a study desk and chair, sofa seating and a refrigerator. The living room offers great sunset views through its 5 sided full length glass windows. It leads to the kitchen, which is fully equipped with a microwave, 2 burner gas stove, a toaster, storage space , all essential pots and pans, glasses , crockery and cutlery for 4 guests, storage containers et al. Clean drinking water is provided at all times (free of charge). The living room opens into the garden which has a sunning/yoga deck, loungers, a hammock and is truly the most peaceful area. This space is frequented by many species of birds. The north east side of the Cottage has a open terrance with garden furniture and umbrella and offers the most stunning view of the Lakes and is surrounded by manicured garden. A short flight of steps takes you to your own car park. The entire cottage has 100% power back up and wifi. A Laundromat is available in the adjacent Resort on payment basis. Tumbledry has a pick up and drop facility for your washing/dry cleaning need. The Cottage houses 4 persons in all (including children/infants) and additional guests/cots/mattress is not possible. Sattal Forest Resort, a boutique property owned and operated by your host is next door. The upkeep of the Cottage and utlities, like power backup, water, security and maintenance of the grounds is synergised with the Resort to offer maximum comfort during your stay. Housekeeping and most amenities activities available in the Resort are available to the guests and trained management staff and chefs are available everyday to handle any issue during your stay Guest access Guest have exclusive use of the Cottage comprising of 2 bedrooms with attached baths, the living cum dining room, the fully operational kitchen with gas, private garden in the south with sun /yoga/bonfire deck and hammock, and one car park. The north east sun deck and the garden on the east is available to the guests at all times, but may be visited by other guest of the Resort for a photoshoot and for a walk down to the road. The guests have full access to the activities area of the Resort, its dining room, laundromat and garden with Gazebo and swings ( all of which are a short flight of step up on the terrace above). You can laze in any area of the Resort as well. Drivers accommodation is also available on chargeable basis (full clean boarding and lodging). Other things to note The Cottage is set in a forest area and is very rich in fauna and flora. Sattal Conservation is a passion for all Sattal property owners and we expect our guests to respect that. We do not allow loud music in the property. Also, your host lives in a cottage nearby most of the year and is available to guide you to explore the area to its full potential. The road to the Cottage, once you leave the highway is a forest road and needs to be approached with maximum caution and respect for uphill traffic. It is strongly recommended that on your first visit you arrive in the Cottage in daylight, so that you get familiar with its turns. Pl also note that you are not coming to a on- the- road- touristy hotel. There will be some limitation is accessing certain services 24x7. We are available to attend to all issues, but there may be some time gap as we are in a fairly exclusive location, so pl manage your holiday expectations accordingly. We are committed to give you an unforgettable holiday experience. How to manage your food: You have chosen to have a home stay experience and a fully furnished kitchen is at your disposal. All basic groceries are available in a nearby store, but all special food/medicine/provisions have to be carried if you want to do all cooking yourself, before you start the climb from haldwani. For everything else, Amazon delivers fairly quickly. Pl note that utensils cleaning service is available on prior notice on payment basis and can be paid in cash to the staff managing the place. If you want to do only basic cooking, then you can order food from the Forest Bistro Cafe of Sattal Forest Resort, or eat in their dining room. The Cafe has option of north indian/south india/pahari/chinese and continental food, both vegetarian and non vegetarian, and choicest snacks. Advance notice is required from 2 hours for normal home food to 24 hours for delicacies /non vegetarian meal. Small time dhabas are avaialble at the lake level offering great village food. The area has some great bakeries and cafes within a driving distance of 10-15 km, easily accessible by road. Car washing service and driver boarding and lodging is available on chargeable basis.
