Description
Wake up to the sound of native birdcalls and cook your breakfast on the BBQ on the verandah with uninterrupted views of the bush. Start the day with a walk down to the creek to maybe catch a feed of yabbies for lunch before trying your hand at fossicking for sapphires or maybe (if you have a 4WD) taking an adventurous drive to the river for a swim or fishing. End the day sitting around the fire for a few drinks with friends. The family unit sleeps up to 7, with open plan living and 3 bedrooms. The space Three bedroom unit, 2 bedrooms with bunkbeds and 1 bedroom with a queen sized bed. Open plan living area with a king size single bed and 2 lounges. Smart TV with DVD's available (no free to air or paid TV). Large fridge, microwave and free standing oven. All kitchenware and linen supplied. Large table and BBQ on the verandah. Mobile phone reception outside. A firepit a short distance away with firewood supplied. The property is 1146 acres of rugged bushland, with 2 km's of Reddestone Creek and 6 km's of Beardy River as it's boundary. We offer bushwalking, birdwatching, fossicking for sapphires, swimming and fishing. Over 50 species of birds and numerous native wildlife. A 4WD is a necessity to drive to the river/sapphire mine, although it is walkable. There is 12 km's of dirt road to get to Bullock Mountain Homestead. Guest access The unit is not shared with other guests, although the firepit is communal with the double unit adjacent. You have access to all parts of the property to enjoy although there may be campers at some sites. Other things to note We do request that guests strip the beds of linen prior to departure.
