The space The villa's elevated position allows guests to witness the sunrise casting a golden hue on the mighty Himalayas and the sunset painting the sky in warm hues. Over a century old, this unique English cottage, located at Bhimtal, Nainital district, Uttarakhand, in the foothills of the central Himalayas in Kumaon. It was once the hunting and fishing lodge of an Englishman called Colonel Jones and bought by Mr. A.D. Moddie and Mrs. K.A. Moddie from Captain Elkins, one of the last Englishmen in Bhimtal, in 1963. The cottage is surrounded by flowers and fruit trees and is at an elevation of 4,700 ft with a commanding view of the hills and Bhimtal Lake. It is a sunny, flowering haven in spring, a green paradise in the monsoons and beautiful sunny, clear skies in the autumn and winter.
