New construction built as an addition; a one bedroom guest suite with a mini bar, a full bathroom and a private separate entrance. Your guest suite was built as a new addition to the classic 1940's bungalows that define North Beach. Tastefully furnished with various artwork displayed throughout the unit. The guest suite is located in North Beach, MD, only several mins walking distance to all the restaurants, shops and boardwalk pier, beach & Chesapeake Bay. Your space is warm and cozy (tiny), nonetheless your guest suite comes with everything you need! For size comparison, it would be similar to a Hilton micro-hotel room or a cruise ship cabin (small-medium size room with lots of windows) and it has all that you need with much style and comfort. The unit has its own private entrance thats separate from the main house. Inside the guest suite there is brand new marble and tile bathroom with a beautiful stand up shower (no tub), and inside the shower is a bench with 2 sliding glass doors. In addition, the guest room has brand new luxury vinyl flooring, a queen size bed, with a beautiful mini bar (includes a quartz stone countertop) that has a small wine cooler/fridge, Keurig (coffee/tea machine), a microwave, small toaster oven, and an electric digital fireplace for your enjoyment. The guest suite also has a 50" tv (with firestick), 2 nightstands that have a built in USB outlet, a workstation/table with 2 comfortable chairs that you can use for work or to enjoy your food/beverages. There is also a brand new mini-split unit (AC, heat, auto, fan), 2 chandeliers, and a small closet to hang your clothes. There are also 2 large trash & recycling bins outside (neatly labeled) and a trash can under the mini bar, a first aid kit, and a fire extinguisher (under the bar counter). Please note this suite does not have a full kitchen, however, it has the capability to heat your food, toast bread, pop popcorn, make coffee & tea. The guest suite also comes with a nice screened in porch and a bistro table that's outside for your enjoyment. You can also walk several blocks up the street and enjoy the morning sunrise and walk along the beautiful boardwalk pier and hear the sounds of the Chesapeake Bay water crashing against the sand. The sunset in the evenings are spectacular! Note you can see the water from the driveway. You will have access to your private guest suite using a keypad (we will provide the key/access code and where to park the day before your check-in). Free parking is available right in front of the guest suite. NOTE - ACCESS TO GUEST SUITE: Please be aware the guest suite is not equipped for anyone who has difficulty walking up and down the stairs (I have steps leading to the guest suite — no ramp available, sorry). North Beach (NB) is located in Calvert County Maryland (approx 50-60 mins away from Washington, DC and Northern VA area, that's without traffic). In NB, you'll find great shopping on the strip (i.e., antique shops, fine arts gallery, novelty shops, gift shops, etc). There are numerous dining options in town, including seafood, crabs, burgers, ice cream, bakery items, sandwiches, and casual and fine dining restaurants. See photo gallery, I’ve listed several highly recommended restaurants near the guest suite. The NB boardwalk/pier, the bike lane, walking path/trail, the Sunrise Garden (beautiful flowers with koi fish ponds, art sculptures, benches to sit on, etc), shops and restaurants are open all year round but any other activities during the fall and winter season(s) you will need to check the North Beach website for their available activities and hours of operations. In addition, NB is next door to the Chesapeake Beach Community (approx. 4-5 mins by car) and some people will walk over because it's so close. There are nearby restaurants, various parks and trails, water park (only open in the summers - a new one is being built, fyi), train railway museum, bayside history museum, etc. Also, there are other fun places to visit that’s close to North Beach (i.e., Solomon's Island, Deale Beach, Herrington Harbor (yachts and marinas), Lugsby, Edgewater, Shadyside, and few other areas nearby that you can easily visit. The guest suite is several blocks from the boardwalk pier and restaurants/shops, so you can either walk or drive. If you decide to drive, there is free parking on some of the streets (but you must read the signs carefully which streets you can park and note some areas may require payment) and there is also a parking lot right across the from the boardwalk (off of 5th Street and Bay Avenue/Chesapeake Avenue). The back of the house (backyard) is for the main house (guests); however, you will have access to the screened in porch that has a bench to sit on and the side front has a bistro table with 2 chairs for your enjoyment (this is located where you walk up to your suite), that area is designated just for you. The guest suite is several blocks from the water (you can see the water from the driveway), please note for those who would like to walk to the beach/boardwalk, then please be aware there is one long block (right when you leave the suite) that has no sidewalk, so you will have to walk on the side of the road, but after that there are sidewalks you can walk on that lead you directly to the boardwalk. In addition, the guest suite is located on a busy street; we are in a busy/touristy area, we are very close to the boardwalk, shops and restaurants (we are in a beach town area and it is busy during the spring/summer up until the fall season), fyi. Also, for FULL DISCLOSURE & FYI.... we have well water/hard water, so there is sometimes a sulfur smell when you initially turn the sink faucet on, but after several seconds or so (run the water) it goes away.... it's not harmful and the water has been tested to be sure it's safe (it has been approved by Culligan Water Experts). In addition, the toilet (which is brand new), inside the toilet bowl the hard water creates a small light tan ring; it's impossible to remove it (no matter how much we bleach & scrub it), so we usually use the blue clorox bleach dye to keep it clean, fyi.
