Our cabin sits on 47 acres -part of which is an active Christmas Tree farm! There is a pond, old barn & hiking trails up into the forest. Laze On the porch swing or relax in a hammock. There is an awesome outdoor shower, but there is a full indoor bath w tub/shower and plenty of vanity space for travel essentials. plus a full size washer and dryer! Fire pit w wood. We have farm animals-chickens, ducks, goats etc. because of these, Pets Must Be Preappoved! A little slice of heaven in the country but only 20-30 minutes to quaint Old Bennington and charming Manchester. Anitque stores, upscale outlets, museums, restuarants, boutiques, Bennington College and skiing all within a short drive. Or snowshoe and cross counrty ski right here on the property. Vermont is known for its picturesque landscapes and you won't be disappointed! Guests will have access to the pond (swim at your own risk), forest and mountain (we back up to State Forest). Very private and serene. There is a firepit with plenty of wood and a gas grill. No access to old barn and other out buildings. We may be at our house next door if you need anything. If not we are just a phone call away The cabin sits down a scenic gravel road off of Historic Rt 7A. The old barn is from the early 1800s. Walk up to the southwest corner of the property to see the 2nd oldest oak tree in Vermont or hike up to the northwest corner and find the monument that marks the VT/NY state line (We back up 801 acres Chestnut Woods State Forest) Surrounded by mountains, the views are beautiful in the fall. Snowshoe or cross counrty ski right here or drive to Bromley and Stratton for some downhill skiing. This is a country cabin, so cell service is spotty, but we do have WiFi and a land line. The nook (double size bed) has curtains for privacy and a beautiful view of the night sky through the large window, the bedroom has a queen bed. There is a loft with 3 single beds, but it must be accessed up a steep ladder so not suitable for small children or the elderly. We have farm animals, so someone will be over twice a day to feed them. We will stay out of your way- you may not even notice that we were there
