Commissioned in the late 1800s, this double-brick home retains its authentic character while offering modern comforts, such as split system AC and hydronic heating systems for guest comfort. Key Features: The Parlour (Living Room): A cozy space to relax in front of a large open fire. A television is discreetly housed here, complete with Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. The Drawing Room (Formal Dining): Features an upright piano, a dining table, and a separate games table. Enjoy board games or browse our collection of vintage magazines by the warmth of another open fire. Bedrooms: Each bedroom is a restful retreat featuring antique beds, hotel-quality mattresses, and the finest European French Flax Bed Linen. The main bedroom also boasts its own gorgeous open fire. Kitchen: The large, farmhouse-style kitchen is the heart of the home, complete with a dining table, a wood-burning stove, and an adjoining scullery. Modern appliances include a dual-fuel stove, microwave, dishwasher, and refrigerator. Dedicated Workspace: The former Maid's Room has been transformed into a dedicated office that retains its vintage charm. Bathroom: Equipped with a shower, vanity, toilet, and complimentary premium Aesop toiletries. Outdoor Space: The fully enclosed backyard offers a private oasis with a cafe-style outdoor setting, perfect for enjoying a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. Offsite Services: Laundromat is located 1 Km from the property Guest access Guests are provided a self check-in process for arrival convenience and will have exclusive and private access to the entire home during their stay. This includes all rooms, the front verandah, and the fully enclosed backyard and gardens. Please note that the housekeeping storeroom and the garage are locked and are not accessible to guests. Other things to note A unique feature of our property is our two friendly backyard chickens—Florrie & Lil. Many guests enjoy watching them roam the garden. Fresh Eggs: You are welcome to collect their fresh eggs and cook them for breakfast. Your Preference: This is not a requirement! If you are not comfortable with the chickens or prefer they not be out, please let us know. They can be happily and safely confined to their coop for the duration of your stay.
