Set in extensive grounds, with the use of a tennis court (pre-booking required) it is perfect for long walks and time out. A short distance from Saffron Walden market town and historic Audley End. It is a twenty minute drive to Stanstead Airport, and 30 minutes' drive to Cambridge. We are located on a rural road with no public transport options. The space Brand new, airy and modern. Open plan living, with a fully equipped kitchen, tea and coffee making, fire box with firewood supplied, super-king sized bed and a luxury bathroom. There are fresh eggs available from the chickens! The apartment is the downstairs half of a barn conversion. You may hear some light foot noise from the apartment above you, which is occupied. You have your own parking area, entrance and a rear private patio looking out onto a rural setting. Saffron Walden holds a market on Tuesdays and Saturdays and you are also close to Audley End with their beautiful gardens / walks and summer concerts. Guest access You will have the use of the generous sized apartment with an outside seating area. You are welcome to walk around the perimeter of the 25 acres property, a map will be provided. The tennis court is available, but timings need to be pre-booked with the hosts in advance. Guests are not allowed to walk near the main house to maintain our privacy. The owners of the property or else caretakers will be in residence to assist with any issues. Other things to note We are located on a rural road with no public transport nearby. You are able to prebook taxi services from Audley End station. A taxi would also be needed if travelling into Saffron Walden or to any nearby shops. Best suited to those arriving by car. Audley End House and garden are 40 minutes walk.
