Powys Country House

Powys House is well situated on the A5 for sight seeing around the area. We are on the edge of Snowdonia National Park, and only a short drive to the many attractions of North Wales and surrounding area. Llangollen, Bala, Betws-y-coed, the Roman city of Chester, are just a few of the great places to visit. Part of the house dates back to the 1700’s, and still retains a wealth of charm and character. The Steam Train Line between Llangollen and Corwen passes along the bottom of our property. The space The majority of the rooms have superking beds which can be made up as doubles or twins, and there are additional beds available at an extra cost (£10 per stay) in the rooms where they can fit making your stay as comfortable as possible - simply advise us of your configuration choices before you stay and we will arrange that for you. We also have travel cots, stairgates, highchairs and eating implements available to make travelling simpler with younger children. All but one room have full ensuite bathrooms (the last has a toilet and sink). There is an up to date, regularly serviced fire alarm system installed, with all the necessary fire extinguishers around all the accommodation in the Country House. There is games room in the house with a pool table and a darts board. Patio doors from the kitchen lead out onto a large enclosed patio and fully fenced off garden area as well as the hot tub area. Outside there are several lawned areas to sit. There is a giant size chess & draughts board, a barbeque, a hot tub, a lawned tennis court (not available Oct-April, weather dependant) and a large kids play area. Guest access The whole house is rented to you exclusively, there is a small section of the garden which is shared communally between you and our cottages. Other things to note Limited extra beds are available and three cots. There is an additional charge for the extra beds of £10 per person
