However, we are located in the lush Costa Rican tropics, and it’s not uncommon to see local wildlife such as ants, geckos (and their tiny droppings), or the occasional centipede, cockroach, or even a scorpion. While rare, scorpion stings are similar to bee stings unless you're highly allergic.
