Welcome to our little piece of paradise our house is situated in the heart of the Lagune de la Somone, where you can swim, fish, surf, or simply enjoy some oysters while chilling by the water. We are Ira and Awa, your dedicated hosts who will be delighted to welcome you, pamper you, and advise you throughout your stay. We will do our best to make you feel at home and ensure that you make the most of all the wonders that this place has to offer. The space The house consists of 4 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. 3 bedrooms have a Queen size bed (160x200 cm). The 4th bedroom, perfect for children, accommodates 6 people, including two double beds (140x200 cm) and two single beds (90x200 cm). All rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with orthopedic beds. The house has several relaxation areas, a family outdoor lounge, a "bed" for sunbathing with a sea view, a shaded area for a little reading or a campfire, and a terrace where you can admire the most beautiful sunsets. And finally, a pergola awaits you by the sea for a moment of sharing with your children. The outdoor kitchen is fully equipped, with storage, two refrigerators, and all necessary appliances. You will have at your disposal basic utensils and food to cook, as well as a barbecue to enjoy the good fish that Ira will be happy to order for you. A lush garden will offer you organic vegetables for your cooking during your stay, sometimes tomatoes, eggplants, salads, lemons, basil, lemongrass, and even passion fruit and bananas, depending on the seasons and nature. You will have at your disposal an inflatable kayak, for 3 people, with 3 life jackets, as well as two magnificent mares (Capucine and Mounira), and their adorable foals (Sakura and Yuki), that you can pamper and ride if you are experienced for beautiful walks on the beach. Many outdoor games or board games are also available for moments of relaxation with friends or family. The area is full of activities: safari at the Bandia Reserve, tree climbing, surfing, deep sea fishing, paddleboarding, kite surfing, or simply an unforgettable picnic in the shade of baobabs. And, for your evenings, you can share a plate of mangrove oysters with our famous oyster farmer Norbert or a cold beer with Bouba by the lagoon. And, for nature lovers, you will have the opportunity to observe all kinds of birds, as the lagoon is an important migration area in Africa. The luckiest may even witness the birth and return to the sea of baby turtles, as the beach of Guereo is an ancestral nesting area for sea turtles. Guest access Travelers will have access to all parts of the house, as well as books, games, kitchen utensils, and more. Other things to note The house has been designed in an eco-responsible way, using clay bricks. The material sourcing was local, and the house was built by a youth reinsertion association called Village Pilote. Please note that electricity is not included.
