The Lake House

We would love to welcome you to The Lake House. As its name implies it sits directly on the water, and boasts a stunning view of gorgeous Bauneg Beg Lake in the lovely little town of North Berwick. If you are looking for a few days of relaxation, beautiful nature and quality time, you have found the right spot. Best of all it's only 1.5 Hrs from Boston, and within 30 minutes from Maine’s most popular beaches and destinations. Maine: The Way Life Should Be! The space Lake House features a queen bed in master and full beds in the 2 additional bedrooms. The air-conditioned study/guest room has full size pull-out sofa, and kids will love the bunkbed! There is a full gourmet kitchen with Sub-Zero fridge and Jenn-Air gas range. The beautiful living room is open concept and features a two-story high ceiling, which is perfect for hanging out with friends or family while enjoying the magnificent view. In the summer months there is a large dock for sunbathing, swimming, fishing, or exploring the area in any of our four kayaks. More adventurous, guests can test their balance on the stand up paddleboard. Please note that the master bedroom, main living room and study are air conditioned, while the lower 2 bedrooms have fans. From the entry/main living area all bathrooms are either up or down a flight of stairs. As a result the layout may not be suitable for people who have difficulty with stairs. Happy bookings! Other things to note Beginning June 1st and for the duration of the summer months, preference will be given to people looking to rent Friday-Friday. However, If you have a special request feel free to message me and I will do my best to accommodate you. NOTE: I will be seeking a winter tenant/caretaker Nov-May. Contact me for huge discounts! Finally, please understand that short stays place significant strain on my resources to prepare for the next guest and often block someone looking for a full week. As such, there is an additional $100 fee charged to any stay less than 4 days.
