The space The serenity and quiet of Takoja is beautiful and inspiring but can sometimes be a bit different for urban or suburban dwellers. You will see stars, the heavens, horizons, sunrises, sunsets and galloping thunderstorms like no other place on earth. With that we have resident coyotes and even elk that bring their song to the area. The domes are a very open floor plan with lofts overlooking living room and dining areas. Takoja is an experience and we are honored to share it with others. Takoja has a long history of arts, spirituality and healing. The founder, Grandma Judy was a prolific artist, writer, poet, and spiritual counselor. You will be surrounded by Judy's work, other Sauceda artists, and artists from around the world. Wifi is available but not powerful enough for gaming, high level graphics, or multiple users working. It is on satellite so may have delays. There are lots of resident plants in the domes so they do drop leaves and petals at times. If you are staying a week or more, we will have a trash pickup and also someone drop by at a convenient time to water the plants. You are in a rural area and one good round of winds can blow in dust and leaves too. There are two upstairs loft bedrooms with private bathrooms, king size bed and one twin bed. The two living areas downstairs have a king fold out futon and two single fold out futons on one side and a queen futon and single futon that double as seating areas. The dining area can seat 20 people and there is a full bath downstairs and full kitchen. We welcome well behaved, vaccinated, and housetrained dogs to Takoja. We are dog lovers! There is a $75 per dog per stay non-refundable fee and it is $75 per dog per week for longer stays. (Sorry no cats) We provide lint brushes and cleaners. Please clean up after your pups. If you bring the dogs please be aware that there are coyotes, snakes, insects and cactus in the area. Terrain is rocky and can be hard on their paws. Also, dogs must be on flea, tick and heartworm preventative. Do not let the dogs roam freely. Guest access You will have complete and private access to the Domes and patio. Takoja is set on 40 acres with two other buildings which are either rented or reserved for family. You are welcome to walk the 40 acres with respect to closed fences and spiritual spaces. Please give other residents on the property and nearby their privacy. Strict 10 pm curfew on noise at Takoja. Other things to note Our minimum stay is two (2) days. No extra guests are allowed and any events must be approved. Six people are included in the listed price and it is $25/per person/ per night above the six. If something is damaged, please contact us.
