There’s also a twin bedroom (with 2’6” beds) on this floor, and an elegant wet room. The two remaining bedrooms - another twin with 2’6” beds and a king-size - are on the top floor, tucked under the eaves and with pretty panelled walls. Stay in the village and explore its charming shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants, and spend time on the dog-friendly beach rock pooling and searching for fossils. If you want to head out, there are many wonderful walks, both along the coastal path and inland - try the 6-mile stroll along the Cinder Track to Whitby, for example.
