Located on the enchanting island of North Captiva, Florida, in Safety Harbor Club, Ebb Tide is a beautiful home where you can reconnect with nature and disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Pristine, natural beaches, ample sunshine and no cars. Travel to the island is by the Island Girl Ferry, boat taxi, or your own boat. This is one of the reasons it is such a pristine paradise. Ebb Tide is a wonderfully appointed three level townhome loaded with amenities (see list) with a wonderful kitchen where you can cook some memorable meals for your friends and family. The furnishings are extremely nice and luxurious but still livable, and you won't worry about curling up on the chairs and couches with your favorite beverage, and we also supply all of the inner tubes, floats, beach chairs and umbrellas you will need for your island exploration and beach forays. Your rental with Ebb Tide includes a four seat electric golf cart. All local laws (licensed drivers only) for driving the golf cart apply to driving on the island as well. We also have a slip that can accommodate a 25 ft boat for a small daily fee. Smart TVs and high speed internet will allow you to sync up with your favorite music and your favorite shows. You will be very well connected during your stay if you want or need to be. Imagine yourself sitting on the front deck overlooking the Safety Harbor marina 100 steps from the front door, your boat gently rocking in the slip where you can keep an eye on her as you sip your morning coffee with the sunrise slipping in over the water and your favorite music drifting through the air. The tasteful decorations bring the watery and sandy outside of the island beaches right indoors. Surrounded by tastefully arranged shells, beautifully carved wooden mermaids, dolphins and photographs of the island's flora and fauna, your senses will be delighted and inspired. It is truly is a fantastic environment like none other. As an Ebb Tide guest you also are welcome to use all of the amenities of the club. These include a pool equipped with lounge chairs, restrooms and shady palm trees if the day heats up, a lookout tower with amazing views, and a private and dedicated entrance to the beach equipped with a large gazebo. Over The Water restaurant, located 100 feet from the front door, also provides a wonderful meal for the club members and you can make a reservation there as well. You must call to make a reservation for Over The Water. Access to the property is via a Schlage keyless entry door lock. The entry code will automatically become available through AirBnb the morning of the reservation. However, we also have an island concierge, Nicole, who will greet you upon arrival and help you become acquainted with the property. The are no paved roads on the island and no cars. Ebb Tide comes with a four seat electric golf cart. All the roads are sand (which you will learn to love). :-) Travel to the island of North Captiva can be accomplished by: Water Taxi: Pine Island Taxi and Sanibel-Captiva Airport Shuttle Ferry: Island Girl Charters (preferred as they drop off right in front of the unit) Your Own Vessel (25 boat slip included with rental) Nicole is your on island concierge. She will greet you upon your arrival, and she will help you become familiar with the property and the island. Safety Harbor Club and Resort This wonderful resort includes 87 island homes, cottages and townhomes. It also includes a pool, clubhouse, viewing tower, Over The Water Restaurant, sandy roads and pristine beaches. If you have a boat that is 26 feet or less in length, you can use the marina at no charge. You must register your boat and show proof of insurance at the office. The beach, the restaurants, the marina and the shops are all within walking distance; however, Ebb Tide comes with a 4 seat electric golf cart to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. This is a great way of getting around the four miles of sandy island roads. Please note that golf carts are not allowed on the beach at any time. This rule is strictly enforced to protect the sea turtle and bird nesting sites of which there are hundreds. Please note all drivers must have a valid driver's license. These are county roads. Please note that we recently moved the two twin beds up to the third bedroom. The second bedroom now has a king bed and the master has a brand new Sealy king mattress. The pictures reflect these changes as well. Ebb Tide is well equipped for adventure and fun. We have a two seater kayak (when you sign the golf cart agreement it includes the agreement for using the kayak safely), there are two adult size bikes, multiple fishing rods and tackle boxes, beach toys for children, and a 10X10 UV protection tent for the beach.
