Feel the sound of the sea and nature overwhelm you, from here you can observe the sea in all its immensity and at the same time the exuberance of the humid tropical forest of the Colombian Pacific. For an additional price, you can hire us for food, in the best style of Pacific food! The space We are located in front of Majagual beach, 40 minutes by boat from Bahía Solano. The Refuge is a rustic Palafítica-style building, typical of the area, whose structure protects the hotel from the rising river, the mangrove and/or the high tide, in the style of times before the arrival of the conquerors, it is a house of 800 m2 with 3 floors. It has 3 private rooms, each with a capacity of 1 to 8 people, family groups or friends. They have a private bathroom, ocean and jungle views. They have 6 to 8 beds with mosquito netting and can additionally request a hammock. On the second floor we also have the hammock area and on the third floor the observatory, for common use. Guest access Access to the hotel is by sea on the beach by boat or on the jetty on the Cupica River. The dining room, kitchen and living room are located on the first floor. The rooms are on the second floor, for which you must use stairs. During your stay I will be present at the hotel facilities in case you have any questions, to guide you and assist you. Other things to note We are located on Majagual beach, which is 24 kilometers long, it is a secluded beach. We are surrounded by the Cupica River and the Cacique River, where you can swim and relax on their beaches. Impenetrable jungles, mighty rivers, the most extensive mangroves in South America, its forests are among the most biodiverse on the planet: they have at least 2000 endemic species of fauna and flora - that is, they are only found in this region of the world. Throughout the year you can enjoy the most wonderful spectacles that this unparalleled nature gives us. From January to December you can spot birds, mammals, amphibians, including the Lehmann frog, known to be venous and found only in the Colombian Pacific. In this area we have approximately 192 species of mammals, 778 birds, 188 reptiles, 139 amphibians and 196 species of fish, among others. The official number of birds registered in the country is 1,954 species (20% of the global total), which puts us in first place in the world ranking followed by countries in the region, such as Peru and Brazil.
