Historic Farmhouse Desert Country Retreat

We reside downstairs and the airbnb is upstairs. We do not enter the upstairs during our guests stay. The large room is 414 sq. ft. With a Queen sized bed on one side and a full futon and a single twin bed on the opposite side with a small partition. There is also a desk, a fan, and one window for light and airflow. The shared bathroom is at the bottom of the stairs. Please do not smoke or vape inside the house. We can set up a smoking area outside if needed. The space Our landmark farmhouse from 1892 was one of the first houses constructed, built before the official town was founded. We offer a quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of city living. It's usually sunny here. The morning doves and quail serve as nature's alarm clock. You will hear occasional trains in the distance. The large 414 square foot private attic bedroom is located upstairs and you will be the only one allowed up there during your stay. The chimney and stairs act as a natural partition that separates the queen bed from the other beds in the space. There is a ceiling fan and one window. The Queen size bed big enough for a couple and a full size futon bed that is suitable for one person shorter than 5' 10". There is also a twin bed that would accommodate a child. There is a vanity desk where you can use your laptop. For your internet needs, wi-fi is provided throughout the house. The bathroom is on the main floor. There are some stairs between the Airbnb attic room and the bathroom down below. Guest access Your access will include the guest room, bathroom, and dining areas as well as the outdoor seating areas. There are 2 places to eat in town during the Summer months, that close early and are open odd hours. 1. Wild Roots Market ( Sandwiches, Salads, Espresso, Fruity Drinks, Wine etc..). Please see their FB page for hours and details (they are usually open Thursday through Sundays, but you never know). 2. the Golf Course (Open until December 1st) has outside seating and a weekly rotating menu with specials plus, they have a liquor license. Rocky Coulee Brewery is open Friday night only but only serves beer). Check their FB page for updates. You may use our kitchen to heat-up a cheese pizza from the grocery store or make sandwiches. We do not own a microwave. If you are interested in cooking meat, you may do so on our grill outside. Just ask me and I will be happy to set it up for you. We provide clean towels and sheets. Please bring your slippers, we are a "no street shoe" household. Most of all, please relax and make yourselves at home. We are here if you need anything. Just text or ask us in person and we will assist you. During your stay We work from home and shall be available to answer questions. You can also text us through the Airbnb app and we will respond. We eat most of our meals outside during the Summer and we have dining areas in both the front and back of our house with territorial views for you to enjoy. Since your suite is located upstairs and we live downstairs, you can count on your privacy. We are social people so if you feel like joining us, you are entirely welcome! Our 130 year old farmhouse sits in a safe and quiet neighborhood within a short walking distance of town. Our property encompasses 3 acres of solitude that border Crab Creek in the high-desert. Relax under our pergolas and watch trains roll by in the distance. View the birds and wildlife. Welcome to our extended family. Other things to note We are early risers and retire at around 10 p.m. For this reason, we ask that you check-in before dark. If you are driving from Seattle, Portland, Idaho or Montana and need more time, just let us know in advance. We will make an exception to accommodate you. Please email ahead to arrange your arrival time as it allows us to prepare your lodgings. We ask that our guests please be quiet coming and going to respect the neighborhood. We are 17 miles north of I-90 at the intersection of highways 21 and 28. We are approximately 1 & 1/2 hours drive to Wine Country (Tri Cities) Cave B Winery & "The Gorge" Amphitheater. 45 Minutes to Moses Lake. Spokane and Wenatchee are also 1 & 1/2 hours. Leavenworth, Lake Chelan and Walla Walla are 2 hours driving distance. It is just under 2 hours to Coeur d' Alene, Idaho, 4 hours and 22 minutes driving time to Missoula, Montana. 3 and 1/2 hours to Seattle. You can get to Spokane from our house without having to drive the 17 miles back to the freeway. Just ask us how. HOUSE RULES: No shoes allowed inside the house (except slippers). We are a non-smoking household and we do not allow smoking or vaping in our home. No parties, loud electronics .Quiet time is 10 P.M. Lights, heaters and the ceiling fan must be "switched off" when you leave the room. No food or drink allowed in room (with the exception of bottled water). We have plenty of places to eat (inside dining room and outside areas). We offer kitchen access for making sandwiches or heating vegetarian food in the oven. All meat products should be prepared on the barbeque outside and we do not have a microwave. Please do not put luggage on the beds or couches. Garbage belongs in the kitchen (ask us and we'll show you where). Since we do not charge a cleaning fee, we would be grateful if you leave our place as you find it, We devote an entire day to cleaning the Airbnb before and after your stay to ensure that every guest receives fresh sheets, towels and a clean living space.
