Dovetails is located within the village of Historic Flat Rock. It is a private cabin of rustic elegance with modern amenities. The cabin is a clean, fully equipped log home conveniently located five minutes to Hendersonville, NC., sixteen (16) miles from Asheville Regional Airport and just three (3) miles from US Hwy. I-26. You are within walking distance within the heart of Flat Rock where you can enjoy shopping, eating at our local bakeries and restaurants. Pets are welcome with no pet fee. Dovetails has two (2) master suites, each at opposite ends of the home to provide optimum privacy. Each suite has an en-suite bath and private covered porch. Master one (#1) has a King size bed and Master two (#2) has two Queen size beds. There is also a pull out sofa with a Queen mattress in front of the wood burning fireplace. Dovetails is equipped with 3 large TV’s, all with DirecTv and access to Netflix. The Wi-fi is wireless and 100mbs. Bedrooms include large closets and dressers. Each suite has a TV, an alarm clock, bedside access to plug-in’s and USB charging ports. Each master suite is individually climate controlled for your comfort. En-Suite bathrooms have double vanities with large mirrors, large tile showers and hair dryers. Makeup towels are provided in addition to regular bath towel sets. You will have access to extra towels and linens during your stay. Basic toiletries are provided. The Kitchen is fully equipped with basic everyday cooking utensils and cutlery. There are storage containers for your convenience as well. A gas grill is available to use on the back deck. There are two sitting areas for dining. One six (6) person table inside and one six (6) person table outside on the back deck. You will have use of the front loading clothes washer and dryer, laundry supplies; as well as an iron and ironing board. Dovetails is stocked with basic cleaning and garbage supplies for your use. Enjoy the wood burning fireplace or head outside to huddle around the outdoor fire kettle. Firewood is provided for your stay. Dovetails is on a one (1) acre lot surrounded by woods with a creek. The Village of Flat Rock is just 0.5 miles away and is connected to Dovetails by walking / biking trails. The Village has a movie cinema, coffee shop, BBQ shack and shops. Flat Rock is also home to the NC state theatre The Flat Rock Playhouse and the Carl Sandburg National Historic Site. Dupont and Pisgah Forests are close by and great for fishing, hiking, biking, climbing, paddling, camping and sightseeing. Check-in is available 24 hours a day. Prior to your reservation you will receive a Property Information booklet. This will contain your entry codes, Wi-fi passwords and more. There is plenty of parking on site. Upon arrival you will receive a complimentary gift along with local maps and guidebooks. Dovetails is a dedicated vacation rental home. Guests have full access to the home and property. Dovetails owners live in Flat Rock year round and are available if needed. They are here to make your stay great! Dovetails is a private residence located on a wooded lot in Flat Rock Forest. The Village of Flat Rock is a 1/4 mile from Dovetails and is accessible by walking / biking trails. Flat Rock Village has coffee, breakfast and lunch cafes. In addition there is a movie cinema, a 250 acre state park, National Historic Site and the famous state theater, The Flat Rock Playhouse.
