It's set on the top of a ridge surrounded by your own private 40 acres of mostly Native Bush, with a lovely grass meadow and lily pond. You will also find the 4-minute video showing the network of impressive waterfalls on the property. You have plenty of room for fun adventures here! After exploring the many bushwalks on the private land or the adjoining mountain bike tracks next to the property, you can relax in the spa, watching the stars at night. The network of bush walks varies in challenge level from the gorgeous brand new track made with our resident mini digger, to the much more challenging bushwacking tracks on steep terrain. Especially if you go down to the waterfalls, you must be prepared to slip a little as you navigate the steep terrain. You are provided with a map of the walks. So bring good shoes if you want to try the challenging tracks. Plus, it's only a 10-minute walk from the house to the Smyth Bush Scenic Reserve, which is a hiking trail going across to Dome Valley. This is part of the national walkway to hike the length of New Zealand called Te Araroa - The Long Pathway. All our tracks on the property have a video explaining each walk in the comprehensive retreat instructions, including an instructional video about the mini gym, including Block Therapy, a TRX, kettlebells, exercise bands, free weights, and the popular Electric Muscle Massage Gun. KITCHEN: You can’t beat preparing a meal with a view of the forest valley below and piwakawaka flitting around outside! Full kitchen and cooking facilities for your use, including full-size fridge and freezer, induction stove top, oven and microwave. Some basic pantry items will be available for you to use (Coffee, Tea, Olive Oil, Spices) LIVING: A large lounge. Library, sunroom and dining area with an extended table to seat 10-12. Outdoor dining seats 12 Warm up before the wood burner fire while you read a book or watch a movie on the Smart TV. With three different living areas, relax with a book in the library or a cuppa in the sunroom, which is the second living area with beautiful views over the valley. There are two full bathrooms, one ensuite bathroom and a second full bathroom close to the lounge, with brand-new showers. Plus, the cabins each have their own private toilet and cold showers. Every guest will have their own bath towel and spa towel provided, and all five rooms have heated towel rails. SLEEPING: Sleep up to 17 guests at Stargate Forest. In the house, three bedrooms will sleep up to 11 guests (including the sofa bed in the library) The Master Bedroom with ensuite has a king bed with the option for larger groups to sleep up to four guests with the king single and single bed. While they are full beds with top-quality mattresses, they are a trundler, so stacked on top of each other to look like a sofa in the massive master bedroom. The Queen Room sleeps up to two guests with a queen bed. The Lighthouse (upstairs bedroom) can sleep up to three guests. The two single beds can be zipped together to become a delightful Super King bed, plus there is also a single portable bed that can be made up. The library contains a sofa bed that can sleep 2. Two newly built cabins beside the house can each sleep up to three guests. Each cabin contains a double bed bunk and single top bunk. Each has its own toilet and cold shower. Two office workspace areas with big monitors to plug laptops into. Including two separate AppleTV units for streaming your favourite shows. RELAXING: There are many places to relax at Stargate: in the sunroom, library, or the reading nook. There is a back patio that features outdoor dining and a BBQ.
